Question about Computers & Internet
Did you run the router software on your new computer? Is your router Windows 7 compatable? Did you check the MS Hardware compatability list to see if 7 can work with it?
Windows XP, Vista and 7 has about put me out of business. Next edition, a blind dog with a note in its mouth will be able to configure a connection and run a computer.
You don't mention the make or the laptop nor the make of the router making it difficult to give more specifics.
Of course you cannot get mail if you cannot get a connection.
I recomment Network Magic as a network management tool ... read the deal when you get there ... free for a week, then pay OR continue to use with some features disabled.
Quit picking on Mr. Gates ... he doesn't even work there any more.
