Trying to updat rand McNally and it is sayin not able to detect card

Hello,

Turn on your device. Turn up the volume to max setting. Insert the SD card. Do you hear a chime? If you do then the sd card has been recognized by your device. If you do NOT hear a chime then try another card. If you do not hear a chime with another card then there may be an issue with the card slot on the device. It would need to go to Rand McNally support for repairs.

If you hear the chime which confirms the card was recognized then connect your device to your computer. Go to the My Computer option and find the SD card drive. It should say something to the extent of "removable drive". Right click and select the format. Select the FAT32 setting and a quick format is fine. This is done to ensure there is no data on the card and it is formatted correctly.

Once the format is complete select Map Update from the dock. The dock should have no issues recognizing the card and downloading/installing the update.

If you are still experiencing issues please contact Rand McNally technical support.

Hello,
  • The PSN has been down for almost 3 days now from a worldwide outage. The most recent update from Sony indicates this may continue into the weekend. It also indicates they were in hacked. Anom claims innocence.

My computer can not read Sd card

Go here and download and install the Card Reader driver.

If this doesn't solve your problem, try to think if you might have experienced the problem right after a Windows Update. If so, use System Restore to go back past that Update and try the card reader again.

Best of Luck

The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte and SDHC up to 8 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.
