Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

1 Answer

Hi, I have a baby twin Gaggia that powers off after approximately ten minutes of operation. After the unit cools it can be powered on again for another ten minutes. It seems like it might be an overheat protection device (if there is such a thing) that is not working correctly. I downloaded the wiring diagram but I do not speak/read Italian so I am disadvantaged there. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might fix myself? Thanks in advance,

It could be the limit thermostats are working but the temp thermostat is not. Check the 2 thermostats on the machine one of them is not working.

After connect still silence, no light no cool

Hi RosesbyPing, based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like the unit could possibly be experiencing a sealed system issue, potential wiring failure or faulty control board. Let's try resetting the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit on. If resetting the power to the unit does not correct the issue, I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.
Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to assist you!

The freezer works but not the refigerator

Hi Jan - Typically if the compressor is running but only the freezer side is not cooling properly than more than likely the unit has a faulty temperature control. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. An experienced service technician may need to further evaluate this issue if it was not resolved with the power reset to assist with the repairs.

Can't get freezer to reset model number LFFH17HWC serial numberWB93766371

Hello richardso903 - Once again try resetting the freezer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart the unit. Set the unit to ON, by pressing and holding the Power button for approximately ten seconds. If issue persists and freezer does not turn on, then the unit may be experiencing a wiring failure, faulty plug or control board. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.

Electrolux EX600 Dishwasher loosing power during wash cycle

Hi dan76n - Typically PF appears in the display when the dishwasher is first installed, or when power has been interrupted. HI-TEMP WASH, SANITIZE and START/CANCEL backlighting will also flash. To clear, touch START/CANCEL pad. If it proves to be ineffective, once again try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes, restart unit and select a cycle. If the problem continues, the dishwasher could possibly be experiencing a wiring failure or faulty board. At this point I will highly recommend connecting with a certified technician for a further diagnosis and to accurately assist with the repair(s).

Frigidair LTF2140ES3 has no power to start switch, (good power at wall connection)

Hello Frank Webb - Does the cord or plug look damaged? If it does not, try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. If it proves to be ineffective, I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly be experiencing an issue with the control board, faulty door lock assembly, faulty pump, or the timer itself is not operating correctly.

My LG unit starts fine and cools but the fan runs at hi speed only and I cannot select any other speed although I hear a beep when they are seleted

In Auto mode, and jet cool or fast cool (if option is there in your remote), you can't change speed. Keep cool mode and then press fan again and again still you get required speed. Suppose, as you said beep sound is there when you select speed, check related speed terminal in PCB. If power is there, winding open in motor. If no power, replace/repair PCB. Thanks and hope it's helpful.

Error 5400

Solution: Press ON/OFF switch and wait a few minutes before powering back on the device

Reset the device when it is not functioning properly. If the device is not functioning properly or to clear an error, power off the printer and power it back on. Before powering back on the printer, wait five to ten minutes.
  1. On the operator panel, press the <ON/OFF> button. (The display will go blank.)

Note: On rare occasions, it may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer.

  2. Wait approximately five to ten minutes and then press the <ON/OFF> button again.

  3. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.

FYI - There is a firmware update for this unit as well
