Question about Kenmore 54351 Dehumidifier
Sears 35 pint dehumidifier Model 580.54351 since 2007 has run in our finished basement until now . I have maintained it according to the manual (clean filter and coils) and have a hose hook up to a drain. The problem is that the coils keep icing up and there is no extraction of humid air whatsoever. Also the humidity control switch no longer turns the unit on or off as it used to. I have to unplug the power to it.
In previous years of use in seemed to function just fine. Any advice would be greater appreciated. P.S. It is not one of the Kenmore dehumidifiers with the serial numbers listed for recall.
