Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

What you are going to want to do is by a capture card. Like pinnacle and it will come with software and everything you need. You can purchase an internal or an external. The photo navigator would only be for photos anyways. If you need any help locating this hardware/software let me know.
Thanks,

I have a sony handycam dcr-pc101 ntsc and I am trying to connect it to my Mac, but the computer will not recognize the movie camera. (I have it connected through the firewire connection- not the usb port)

I'm osrry that you find difficulty in transfering the videos to the macintosh computer. Refer the URL for the infirmation on Transfering video to a Mac computer

http://support.sony-europe.com/tutorials/dime/videotransfer/vtransfer.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&sec=DV&m=DCR-PC101E

NOTE: The procedure to transfer video to a computer will vary depending on the type of camcorder you have and the type of connection you are using.

Transfering video casette recording to my computer

if you want to transfer from VHS or an analog camcorder you need a capture card or TV card (some mother borad and graphic card have this on board).but if you have a DV camcorder check this: if your computer and camcorder have fire wire port (IEE1394) use it and otherwise use USB (low qualty). for software I could suggest video studio, adobe primaire (full or element) windows movie maker, or any othe program which comes with you camcorder. I hope this helps...

Transfering from jvc-hd7 to computer

You should be getting .tod files, not .mov files. The resulting files are of the type MOVxxx.tod, where xxx is a hexidecimal number. You then convert the .tod files (for PC's only) to .mpg files with the Cyberlink PowerDirector software that came with your camera (on the CD).

Hope this helps.

I believe that camera only works with firewire. You might want to check with Canon to see if there is compatibility problems with Macs. I know it works on Windows computers.

Transfering video to Mac

Digital video on the ZR400 is transferred to a computer only via the DV out port, which will connect to a firewire port on a PC or a Mac. USB will not transfer video, only images to and from the card.
