All devices the produce heat, whatever it may be has a safety feature integrated into it`s design this device will open or brake the connection from the power supply to the heating element to prevent fire, this device may also be defective, this device has an egg shape with a mounting screw on each ear, normally located near the heating element, use and ohm meter to test for continuity this should show short circuit , you can also use the ohm meter to test for continuity of the heating coil to see if it is defective ohm meter showing continuity of the heating coil but not short circuit is a good sign the coil is good, if all else fails turn the unit on and check for AC voltage using your volt meter coming from the timer unit, be on guard for shock dangers when doing this test, good luck

Usually the heater element needs to be replaced. Since your is just 2 years old, you may want to take off the back panel and turn it on to see if the blower is working. IT the heater is on but the blower is not working then you have no heat. Don't confuse the blower assembly with the moter to turns the drum, since they are 2 different entities. If the blower is on then your heater element is the culprit. Good Luck.

My LG Tromm DLE5955W dryer has great airflow and heating but about 2 months after I bought it, it now takes 2 hours to dry a load of clothes. I have vaccumed it out and replaced the vent house already with...

You have a problem with the exhaust vent in the house walls. Try this. Disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer and see how well it dries a load of laundry. If it comes out alright, then you know that the vent in the house is clogged and will need to be professionally cleaned out. Good luck

My LG Tromm DLE5955W dryer won't dry properly. the flow sensor light is on and it stops after a few minutes no matter what setting it is on.

You would need to get a multimeter and run continuity tests on the thermistor relays as well as the heater which ever one shows you no continuity would be the one that you would have to replace the heater is located on this diagram as part number 110 http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/partsdirect/showSubComp.pd?imageUrl=http%3a%2f%2fc.searspartsdirect.com%2flis_png%2fPLDM%2fK0810191-00003.png the relays would be part number 130 and 140 please message me back if you have any further questions and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again
Rick
.ps. the dryer is most likely stopping do to one of the relays they control the tempreture of the machine and if it starts getting to hot then it would shut the machine down

The following link explains how to properly wire a three or four prong 220VAC appliance:

Read through the link provided, and make sure you have the power cord wired correctly at the terminal block in the back of the dryer. NOTE: If this is a new installation, you are required to be using a four-prong outlet with 4-prong power cord. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps solve your problem.
