Here are step by step Instruction on how to fix in your microwave door below.

step1.

If your microwave door is cracked or the latch is broken, you may be able to replace it instead of purchasing a new microwave. Check the manufacturer's website to find out how to order a replacement door that is compatible with your specific make and model or visit any technician store that deal with microwave and oven around your local area to get one.

step4.

Unplug the microwave and set it on a table or workbench. If you have a built-in microwave, you may have to remove some mounting screws or retention clips to get the microwave out of the support bracket.

step5.

Open the door and take out the glass tray.Pry off a corner of the plastic panel on the inside of the door with a screwdriver or butter knife. Once it is loose, work the screwdriver or knife all the way around the glass and remove the panel.

step6.

Ask someone to hold the microwave door as you disconnect it from the hinges.

NOTE:
Depending on the design of your microwave door, you may have to remove a set of screws or slide a pin out of the hinge to release the door.

step7.

Remove and discard the old door. Have your assistant hold the replacement door up to the hinges.

step8.

Attach the door to the hinges by reversing the previous step. Snap the plastic inner panel into place around the glass.

step9.

Move the microwave back to its original location. Insert and tighten the necessary mounting screws if you are working on a built-in microwave.

Door latch

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Open Lever If the microwave door won't open the open lever might be broken. This part can be replaced separately.

Door Spring If the microwave door won't open the door spring may have broken. The door spring is located inside the door and keeps downward pressure on the door hook.

Door Latch If the microwave door won't open the door latch might be broken. The door latch is inside the microwave. The door hook, which is part of the door, engages with the latch to keep the door closed during operation. If the door latch or actuator breaks the door may not open.

Door Hook If the microwave door won't open the door hook might not be releasing properly. The door hook is installed inside the door and normally releases when the door is opened. The hook is made of plastic and will break over time. When this happens it will need to be replaced, it can't be repaired.

Button Spring If the microwave door won't open the button spring might be broken internally. The button spring can be replaced.
Button If the microwave door won't open the button might be broken internally. The button can be replaced.

Handle Actuator If the microwave door won't open the handle actuator might be broken. This is a plastic part which can become brittle over time. This part is connected between the door button and the door latch assembly.

Panosonic NN-S525BF Latch Spring Broken

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

In most cases, the spring mount on the inner door panel breaks off, and while the ideal way to fix it is to replace that whole panel, the time, cost and labor are considerable.

It's usually easier and cheaper and just as effective to use epoxy and some kind of hardware to fashion a new spring mount.

Or if there is enough material to drill a hole for the spring, do that, install the spring, then add a dab of epoxy to cover the bottom loop of the spring where it goes through the hole you drilled.

Let the epoxy dry overnight before you close the door or use the oven.

Loose door handle

DON'T remove the cover yourself unless you fully undertand the SAFETY issues involved in working inside a microwave oven. A microwave oven is possibly THE MOST DANGEROUS common consumer product to service. Usually with these doors, the latching parts tend to loosen up at times, thus requiring some re-adjustment and tightening. Sometimes they get a bit warn and require to be replaced. The handle by itself about $40, apparently GE doesn't know how to make a door handle that will hold up for more than a year or so. I just bought a new door off of eBay for $20 + $20 shipping ... a deal compared to the $135 + tax and shipping that most of the web sites want! All you need is a phillips screwdriver and a 5/16" socket. To get to 3 screws that anchor the TOP hinge, simply remove the vent grill (open the door and remove the 2 white screws that hold it in place). To get to the 2 screws that anchor the BOTTOM hinge, simply remove the 6 screws that hold the grey bottom pan of the microwave in place. The pan will swivel down, remaining attached in the back panel. Once you've removed the 5 hinge screws, the door should pull pretty much straight out. Reverse the procedure with the new door, which should come with hinges attached. Could be that the place the spring sits in is a little broken, so theres no stop for the spring. open it up and see if there's anything you can do with it, try some epoxy putty maybe. Good luck
