Sage Instant Error Message SGREP32

Hi, when I try to run a report, say Profit and Loss, in Sage Instant I am getting this message headed ''SGREP32''. The details is:
c:Program FilesSageInstant AccountsReportsFinance\*PNL.SRT contains an invalid path.

Any clues?

Many thanks

Hi, I'm finally getting back to this problem. I looked in this directory"C:\Program Files\Sage\Instant Accounts\Reports\Finance" and in here are Report Designer Files. This seems to be the same for all the sub-directories ie Suppliers and these reports are working fine. It just seems to be the reports under Financials (except for calculating VAT). At the time when I moved computers, I would have installed the disc, taken a backup on the original and restored this. I am using Windows XP. Thx

It looks like the program is looking for the data - but it's not where it defined to search. Pay attention that if you've COPIED the program's files from another computer - it won't work correctly! You should INSTALL it normally on the target computer, then restore only the DATA files from the source directory to "C:\Program Files\Sage\Instant Accounts\Reports \Finance" on the target computer.

Look here for a similar solution...

Good luck,
Pelu.

You should basically make sure than the data files are in the Reports directory.

I had a redundant space in my previous post... The correct target directory should be:
    "C:\Program Files\Sage\Instant Accounts\Reports\Finance".
Source directory (if copied) may vary, depend on the operating system installed on the computer.
    Look for the Reports directory...

In ANY WAY, make sure the data files (including Finance directory) will eventually be in the Reports directory.

If you are unable to logon to Sage you can try deleting the Queue.dta file. All users MUST be logged out of Sage and Sage should not be running. Sage will recreate the queue.dta file when it is restarted. The Queue.dta file can be found in the ACCDATA folder for the Sage Company Data that is experiencing the problem.
Note that the "Username already in use" message from Sage can occur if Sage wasn't shut down tidily for that users session. If you are sure that the user is not actually logged in it's OK to allow Sage to clear the session and log in.

1. Empty both the 'accdata' and the 'criteria' folders.
2. Start Sage.
3. Restore a previous backup.

This worked for us. Hope it helps you.

find the TB.srt file and copy it into location should solve this. You may also have a problem with profit and loss and balance sheet as these are normally held in same location

Was getting the same error for version 12. On the cd there is a support folder. In that there is an installs folder. I installed jet, mdac and the xml parser (probably not necessary) and the next install worked OK.

C:\program\SAGE\ACCOUNTS\REPORTS\\*TB.SRT contains an invalid pat

This message usually comes when the target location is not there or is renamed OR the address is wrong. Open My Computer, and go to the address you gave. Look if there is the file named *TB.SRT.

And by the way... the address you gave was "
C:\PROGRAM\\SAGE\ACCOUNTS\REPORTS\\*TB.SRT" BUT I believe that the address should be "C:\PROGRAM\SAGE\ACCOUNTS\REPORTS\*TB.SRT".
It is not possible that the address contains 2 slash (\\) repeatedly. Open the file by going to the My Computer OR by opening the software and by locating the file manually from there.

live chat assistance costs $19.99. And $12.99 for one time e-mail premium support.

If you have a registered product then I would suggest you to visit:

There you might find a solution at no cost.
