Question about Televison & Video
Put the old NVM (eprom) IC back in if you have it. If not, you will have to reconverge and adjust the picture. This is a long process and there is an important bit of information you should know before you even turn the TV on. The replacement eprom does not come with any preset memory settings. Because of this the deflection current could rise causing the fuse to open. Before powering on the TV, unplug sub deflection connectors on the G board they are CN-801, CN-802, and CN-803. Color-coded red, white, and black. Adjust the main H/V size and position first. Apply the standard deflection data if you have it , otherwise, here is a starting point:
Then you need to connect 1 subdeflection yoke at a time and make rough adjustments. Once you have the first rough adjusted, leave it connected and then move on to the next one. The point is not to overload the STK Vcc and blow the fuse. Sorry, this is going to take you a while to correct... there's no way out of it. The production line equipment can do it in about 2 minutes... us humans, it can take 4 hours or more. I hope this gets you to a working point. Best wishes.
