All pc games show minimum computer requirement for graphics card and processor. if your computer has not got the minimum requirements needed you will burn out your graphics card and your processor. for the processor think of it like a car going up a steep hill, a jaguar can go up in 4th gear but a mini would need 1st gear. graphics cards have pixels 64 bit, 128 bit ,256 ,ect the higher the number the better.
hope this helps.

Does rebooting help fix pc game issues

The game usually comes with a minimum spec for the computer. The game may require better graphics or more memory. What is the game? What is the computer? Are you saying the game runs fine in WinXP/Win7 but not win 8?
Rebooting will only help fix an issue if the computer has been bogged down by a program (or programs) that are misbehaving. If you have a game that requires all your PC to run, you can try quitting everything that runs in the background.
Most games have options you can also tweak. Try selecting a lower screen size, lower graphic details, etc ..

Shutting off the Xbox corrupted the Hard Drive... Have you ever got a Live System Update? You can also reset your Xbox without shutting it off using the controller. You probably have the Three Red Rings of Death... Go to this...

Sims 2 plus expansion packs keep crashing

Im not positive but it may work. Go to "Start", "Control Panel", "Hardware and Sound", then "Power Options". Once you have found "Power Options" your going to want to set your computer to "High Perfomance" mode. You computer will now run your hardware at level its supposed to be ran at. But, power usage will go up though. So as long as your not leaving your computer on for long extended periods of time, its ok. But if you are, I recommend turning it back to "Balanced" mode. Hope this helps. Get back to me if you need anything else.
