The symptoms you describe, sounds like it could be caused by a worn door seal. Over time, these seals compress to the point where they no longer seal correctly, or food particles and grime get caught between the door and seal and leave small air gaps.

The following link explains some of the common causes of dishwasher leaks and what you can do to prevent them:

The part number for a replacement gasket for the model number you provided is 8268888.

This is a very simple repair. If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please post back and let me know. hope this helps you.

Replacement part (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

    searspartsdirect.com
    pcappliancerepair.com
    appliancepartspros.com
    repairclinic.com

All these sites are reputable and have great service. Prices vary between them, so shop and compare. The first three sites I have listed include helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you in locating and properly identifying any parts you may need.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher installed in 2000. I started having water leaking on the floor from the bottom of the door. Is their a gasket that failed or needs replacing? Wayne

You have check where the leak orginates from.If it is from the frame you to check the gaskets. If the machine is old chances of the gasket becoming hard is possible.

Try cleaning the body of the machine Gasket pressing area.

Whirlpool Front load washer - Water leaking

I would check to see if you have a hole or crack in the rubber boot inside the door. Open the door and seperate the fold in the rubber boot and check for a leak. If something sharp was left in someones pocket it will get stuck in this part of the bood.
