Why battery life in my bluetooth mouse is only 1 month ?

Bluetooth is a transmitter of radio signals and can drain batteries if left on. The mouse's auto shut off may not be working.
When not moving it usually turns off.
Are you still under Warranty?

Wireless mouse won't work, have replace battery, rebooted laptop removed and replaced mouse connection etc. Was working fine until yesterday

Is it not working at all or is it moving erratically across the screen? If it doesn't seem to be working at all, turn off your mouse then unplug the receiver's USB cable from the laptop for about 5-10 seconds then plug it in to another USB port. It may detect a new device, just let it do the automatic installation if it asks. You should here a 'tada' or ding sound when it is plugged in. When installation is completed or about 10 seconds after you hear the sound, turn your mouse back on.

If it still doesn't work, try shutting down your laptop completely instead of just rebooting it.

If it still doesn't work after that, make sure you have a spare USB mouse available then uninstall the software for your wireless mouse or mouse/keyboard combo then reinstall it.

My bluetooth connection for my wireless mouse and my wireless keyboard stopped working. What Can I do about that?

Have you checked the following:

1. Are the batteries OK (NEW)?
2. Have you restarted your computer?
3. Is the Bluetooth (in your computer - i.e., came with it) or are you using an add on bluetooth?
  • If it is an added bluetooth, have you tried, swapping the USB port that it is plugged into and then restarting your computer.
Let me know how you get on. Please rate. Regards,

I have an Advent ADE-WLOI1 wireless mouse. Recently moved house and packed up my pc and mouse - now mouse won't work. Tried reset button - no go. My pc is virus infected and am trying to clean it - without...

This seems to be a generic mouse, usb / ps2 connectivity. User needs to press the connect / reset button on the receaver and on mouse. generally.. no drivers or cd required.

mouse has battery.

-check battery

-reconnect (receaver and mouse, if receaver doesn't have button, make sure its connected to pc and power is on, then reset.

try ps2 instead of usb or another usb port, might require adapter. (if im not mistaken it comes with the mouse)

-try another pc

= possibly faulty mouse if still not working? It should work with windows drivers, so no cd required.

If its windows try rebooting the computer. Sometimes some of my bluetooth stuff gets the drivers confused and I loose them until I reboot.
