Printer is paused all the time

Hello, sounds like your drivers are messed up, reload them to the computer or the connection cable maybe bad. If neither of these fix then the printer is bad.

My printer status says it is on pause and it won't print. How do I get it off of pause?

I'm assuming that you're using a Mac. Try to uninstall the Lexmark driver first then download an updated driver online: http://bit.ly/McHL54

If it doesn't work, try to reset the printing system:

  1. Open System Preferences and click "Print & Fax". Then click or right-click on the blank space around the list of printers on the left-hand side.

You should see a pop-up menu and the option to "Reset printing system...". Once you select the option, the OS will restore the CUPS printing system back to its original default settings. NOTE: This will, of course, erase all of your print queues.

Then add a print queue manually: http://bit.ly/SxD5Za

Zebra 2844 Printer was fine...unplugged USB then plugged into a different port on the same computer now it won't print. Says error in the printing status. It is not offline or paused.

This is due to windows which has attributed a new virtual usbport.
Go to the printer port and try another one (the last one for example)

Won't print...says printer is on pause

Hi,

According to your problem, first check the printer settings. Go to the Printer and faxes wizard in control panel. Right click on printer, if you fond there Resume printing then click on it. It will make printer working. Then reboot the printer and the system both. If it doesn't help you then there is the problem of printer software. Reinstall printer driver/ software again and reboot the both.

Keeps pausing job won't print. also won't scan... "can't load application" scans only to flashdrive.

Your firewall could be blocking some printer communications. Make sure to allow full access to all Lexmark and printer communications in the program rules/permissions for your firewall. For more information on how to configure the settings for your firewall, visit the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/iNwkNs.

I have a Z645 that won''t print. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. I tell it to print and it goes to the print queue but then doesn't seem to send the signal to the printer.

in the printque check out whether the printer is off line or online.if there is tick mark sign beside the off line option that means it is off line .also check out whether it is on pause printing .reset all the settings and check out.also replace the usb wire and check out.

Hp deskjet845c printer

go to your printer settings (properties) and make sure that printer is selected as default printer, or that "pause printing" is not selected. Also check to see if your printer is "online".
