Dj mixer problem

Hiya, my problem is that i have a pioneer mixer, a djm600. it is an american mixer but i've been using it in the uk. because of a converter malfunction the power came directly into the mixer without stepping in down and it pretty much fried it... it replaced the fuse but it still doesnt work, but you can hear a humming soun comming out of it like it is still alive. is there anything that can be replaced for it to work again? like the transformer or something? or is it unrepairable? thanx

i have almost the same problem but i never traveled abroad with mine. i was only able to find one fuse that was still good. nothing smells or looks burned however i do think it can be fixed.

i have a canadian djm600, with a power adapter and up down converter (fuse protecter). I stupidly plugged the unit in without the updown conjverter and now it will not work. I have opened up my unit, and the fuse was blown, so i replaced it, and still no power.
    Any ideas ?

    Cheers

It can probably be repaired by an engineer. The fuse may have saved other components from being damaged and it is likely that the power board is the only fault. However, you could have caused further damage by trying the fuse.

Mixers are not all that complicated so an engineer should be able to fix it as long as any digital circuitry remains undamaged.

The fuse will do nothing in regards to protecting from such a voltage surge. The fuse is only good for minor power issues. Not stepping down the voltage is not a minor issue, and more than likely the transformer blew.

At this stage, you'll need to have it repaired by an service technician. This way they can test for any other damage to the unit.

No sound coming from headphones using my dj mixer. however through speakers sounds fine. Im using 2 pioneer cdj 1000 mk3 and a djm 800. The sound works perfectly through speakers. how ever nothing through...

hii there, pls try to use another headphone on your mixer, if you get the same problem. It means your headphone have no problem. Problem is with the the jack of your mixture. Open your mixture and check the jack properly attached internal.

Headphone jack on pioneer djm-600 fallen through!

If it's fallen inside then either it's fixing nut has become unscrewed or the thread on the socket has collapsed, see here for a replacement :-

Get yourself a manual. It will help you. You can DOWNLOAD A FREE COPY of the PIONEER DJM600 INSTRUCTION MANUAL from HERE.

Now, you have to use the CUE button function on each channel to select what you want to hear when you cue things in the headphones. Last, you control the volume of the master cue in the headphones using the CUE volume of the headphone CUE section.
