    maybe in your control panel......

Look for notebook setup icon>> then power on password

    if not then thru BIOS

As soon as you turn your comp on hit F2

Look for system boot password> disable

This computer system #*******_595b is protected bya password authentication system.you cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password please type in the system or administrator...

***********-595B is an indication of a firmware failure of the HDD that is prompting for a HDD password that was never set. Since there is no password or way to reset the password in this instance, the only resolution is to replace the HDD and re-install your operating system drivers and applications

Please enter HDD1/SSD1 User password

If you get prompted for the HDD password when turning on the computer, and you do not know it you will need to call Toshiba support. Circumventing an HDD password is not an easy task.
Also there where Toshiba laptops, model 6100, that when the user was suddenly prompted for the HDD password Toshiba replaced the HDD under warranty.

I got a laptop as a gift and it was working fine but now it is asking me for a HDD/SSD user password and i dont have a password for it is there anyway iam able to bypass it please help me

An HDD/SSD password is located on the HDD itself and cannot be accessed to change it like Operating system passwords can be.

It is at sector level and only manufacturer can advise.May be easier (and cheaper) to replace the HDD.

After boot, appears ENTER PRIMARY MASTER HDD USER Password i need the password @ solution to boot up my lappy... thanks

How Do I Change the Primary Master HDD User Password?

Prior to loading an operating system, your computer will first execute the BIOS program. The BIOS has an extra password feature, called the hard disk drive (HDD) user password, that can't be bypassed and provides a layer of defense to keep your data secure. To change an existing HDD user password you will have to load the BIOS menu, which is only accessible during the computer's operating system reboot procedure.

Instructions

1. Close any windows that are currently open on your computer. Eject any discs inserted into the optical drive and disconnect any peripheral USB devices.

2. Open the "Start" menu and select "Shut Down." Turn on your computer once the operating system finishes shutting down.

3. Press the key your computer uses to load the BIOS menu. For example, with Dell computers tap "F2" when the "Press F2 for Setup" option appears. Press the "Access IBM" key on IBM laptops or "F10" on HP desktops.

4. Navigate to the BIOS tab that contains the HDD password option, which will usually be the "Security" tab. Some computer manufactures instead include the password option in the "Advanced" tab.

5. Scroll down to the option labeled either "User Password" or "BIOS lock" and hit "Enter." Type the current master HDD user password when the prompt appears and press "Enter."

6. Input a new HDD user password and hit "Enter" again. Navigate to the BIOS tab labeled "Exit" or something similar.

7. Move over to the "Save and Exit" entry and press "Enter." Select "Yes" and tap "Enter."

Iff i dont know my hdd password can i just change my hdd for a new one and it wont ask me for my password anymore? thanks...

HDD that has the Operating system will ask for password but if you have not enabled it then ideally there should be no problem with passwords till you activate it for new HDD ,if the case is ....like you have new HDD installed and old is replaced then PLZ dont get bothered about passwords as they are gone with old once!!

kindly rate this solution

Bios Password problem solved but now HDD password awry

Just google "lost password" and you will find several utilities that will fix this. Simply burn the utility to a CD (they're typically in ISO format), and boot off the CD, follow the directions with that specific program. I've had very good success with that.

What is the default code for unlocking a programme I have recorded?

hi, the default password/code stated in the user manual for my philips DVDR3460H is "3308".. try using that to unlock your recording - although, - it does state in manual that code needs to be change to own personal code before can lock and unlock programmes (buts its let you lock - so should also let you unlock) anyway to change the password - using the setup menu - browse down to change password and first input 3308 and then your own choice (sorry to state the obvious - but some people might need to hear the obvious - no offence intended)...

well hope that resolves the issue and the program was worth the wait..
Good Luck
