This has allot to do with the print head. I am going ot tell you as a experiecned user of lexmark and as a Tech that the print head is what is being the problem child here and in order for this to work the print head will need to be changed out. Now some would say you have a sponge full and the ink is mixing there but all that is a myth. I expect nothing more then you try changing the print head or buy a new printer. Now you can try and buy a print head cleaning kit but its not 100 percent garentted. I sure pray this information does help you in your decision making going forward and also reflect a psotive feedback from you on our services at fixya you recieved at no cost.

please take the time and read the whole solution and leave a rating and some feedback if you will please. have a blessed day

The problem with your printer is the print head. Usually you have to run the clean nozzle thing 5 or 6 times to clean the print head nozzles and if there's still no improvement after that then print head needs to be changed for the printer to work properly. The bad news is that a print head costs almost as much as a new printer.

Lexmark z615 only prints black and blue no other colour It is a new cartridge

The print head for the other colours may be blocked.
Try the clean print head maintenance a few times. You may need to replace the print head.

Printer will not print yellow or orange, but prints other colors correctly. Brand new lexmark cartridge.

> will not print yellow or orange

Yellow is one of the printer's "primary" colours.
Orange is mix of "red" and "yellow".

So, an empty "yellow" cartridge, or clogged ink-jets would cause your symptoms.

After replacing cartridge in dell 810 the colours printing wrong

Hi

If you haven´t used your inkjet printer for a while it may just be dry ink clogging some of the nozzles in the print head.

To check if yours is clogged...

Remove the ink cartridges
Holding the cartridge upright and press down gently onto a paper towel.

The colour cartridge
you should see YELLOW, MAGENTA (red) and CYAN (blue)

But if any colours are missing? The inks have probably just clogged up? and you will need to buy a new one or if you know you still have ink then you can easily unclog it with a
Magic Inkjet Flush Kit (Which you can find on Ebay)

MIXED COLOURS
If you have others colours coming out then the colours have mixed...
Sometimes caused when people put tape onto the inks to keep them moist but instead the colours mix through capilary action.

If so... leave print head sitting on a paper towel for a few mins until the correct colours appear.

Read more about ink clogs here:
How to Clean, Fix, Repair, Unclog, Dry, Clogged Print Heads on CANON, EPSON, HP, Lexmark, Dell, Olivetti etc…

To prevent an ink clog it is best if you print something regularly about every 10 days to keep the tiny print head nozzles / jets open. Otherwise the ink in the print head will thicken. Then it´s like trying to pass a camel through the eye of a needle.

So to preven inkjet ink from clogging print something every 10 days if you dont have anything to print, use something like these test prints

Printer prints colours in different colours

Either you are out of red ink or the print head is getting plugged. Most printers substitute the nearest available color when a color runs out or the head is plugged. As some shades of red are made with yellow mixed, it therefore prints only in yellow if red is unavailable.

I have a used C60. I have replaced both ink cartridges with Epson cartridges. When printing in color, the colors are not accurate. For example, red comes out yellow. Also, there are lines running through...

Hi there. The reason for your problem is that the colour cartridge contains cyan, magenta and yellow ink, plus a black cartridge of course. All the other myriad colours are produced by mixing these four basic colours. So, if you print red, it requires ink from both the magenta and yellow cartridges. Thus if your red produces a yellow print, it means your magenta is not printing. This can be due to a number of reasons, mainly an empty or faulty magenta cartridge or blocked magenta print nozzles.

If you wish me to help you with sorting out the lack of magenta, please post a new comment to this effect.

Mono color

These models use a "3 colour" printing process. In other words, these printers do not contain black ink when the BC-05 colour cartridge is installed. To produce black print, a 3 colour printer mixes an equal amount of the three primary colours. This process is known as "composite" black.

As the ink in the cartridge runs out, one of the three primary colours will run out first, depending on the material that has been printed. After one of the three colours has depleted, this colour will be missing from the mixture required to print black, and the print will change colour. This is the indication that the cartridge needs to be replaced. Usually the remaining colours in the cartridge will run out soon afterwards.
