Sign in on toshiba moves to start but arrow disappears so it wont work

If the cursor highlight is positioned over the START button (icon) then you can select it by pressing ENTER or SPACE bar, which is the keyboard equivalent of double clicking with the mouse. To move between the fields, press the TAB key (shift TAB to go backwards or to the previously selected field).

However, the question is not clearly stated...

My acer 15.6inch the cursor is frozen wont move

Hello,

Which mouse are you using? Is it the integrated mouse or the USB mouse?

If you are using the USB mouse, then try checking if it's plugged in correctly.

If it's your integrated mouse, then restart the computer and when it's up. Try moving your mouse. Restarting it usually does the trick.

If restarting it won't fix the problem, then restart and boot to safe mode. While restarting, tap F8 until you see the options to boot to safe mode. Highlight safe mode by using the arrow keys and hit enter. When you are in safe mode, try moving your mouse. Works or not - update the mouse driver. You can use RadarSync. If no go, then you might need to do a system restore. If worse comes worst, do a complete operating system reinstallation.

I hope this helps!

The mouse cursor icon is stuck on the screen and won't move around, but I'm still able to highlight things without knowing where the mouse is going. How do I get the mouse icon to work and start moving...

Right click the Rise of Nations display icon, go to 'Properties' and go to 'open file location'.
Look for a '.ini' file called 'Rise2' - double click it to open it up.
You will see this about mid way through the list that then pops up:
ForceHardwareCursor=0
ForceGDICursor=0
ForceBWCursor=0
ForceStaticCursor=0
change all of the 0's into 1 - then go to file, save. This should fix any issues you have with the mouse not working properly.

No mouse, how do i do the things like highlight that i used to right click with

Does the laptop have a touchpad (usually centered on the keyboard below the space bar) with two buttons above it? Then drag your finger across the selection to highlight it. Then click the right button.

It may take some practice. I usually end up getting a finger to register as moving to a new point on the screen when I try to move up to the buttons.

If you are still more comfortable with a mouse, get a USB corded or wireless mouse. Connect the mouse to a free port and use as you normally do. (Wireless mice can be a little tricky when the batteries run down or the receiver and mouse lose their connection.) If you have limited ports, a USB hub will usually be fine for connecting a mouse.

I hope this helps.

(Note: some older laptops need the touchpad disabled to avoid confusion. With Windows, Start > Control Panel > Hardware > Device Manager)
