If you really want to clean the lens then take the screws out from around the frame. The screens comes forward and the lens would be sitting in the middle. be extremely careful not to scratch the lens at the same time clean the back mirror and the inner screen. thats it.

Now, I hope that works for you because when a JVC HD-ILA starts blotching is because there is build up inside the lens and there is no way to clean that. to get rid of this problem is to replace the light engine which is super expensive.
