I have a Viking pro model oven VGIC3064BSS that doesn't light fully

Viking Gas Range Burners Won't Light? Here's What To Do... We'll discuss how to properly check the power sources and igniter when your Viking gas range burners won't light. We'll also provide a step-by-step guide illustrating how to clean Viking range burners with the right methods and materials.

Check For Power And Loose Connections

Are your Viking stove burners not igniting on demand? This may be more of a power issue and not a range malfunction. Even though you have a gas range, electricity is still required to ignite the burner. Here's how to check your stove's electrical sources to make sure they're functioning properly:
  • Make sure the stove is correctly plugged into a functioning outlet.
  • Check the stove's circuit breaker or fuse in your home's circuit breaker or fuse box. Reposition a tripped breaker or replace a blown fuse.
  • Refrain from using an extension cord to power your range. Most cords can't safely transmit the electricity required to power the stove.

How To Clean Viking Range Burners

Despite our best efforts, cooking spills and accidents can leave range burners compromised. Liquids, grease, and grime that go unnoticed during a hasty post-dinner cleaning can impair range components, resulting in burners that won't light.
This step-by-step guide provides Viking range cleaning tips that clean your burners and other stove components safely and effectively:

Grates:

Remove the grates and soak them in a sink of hot, soapy water for 15-20 minutes. For stubborn stains, add ammonia to the soaking liquid or scrub with Soft Scrub cleanser. Rinse with hot, soapy water and dry completely before replacing.

Burner Caps:

  1. Remove the caps by lifting straight upward.
  2. Scrub with hot, soapy water and a non-abrasive pad, using Soft Scrub cleanser for tougher stains.
  3. For persistent staining, place burner caps outside on a sheet of newspaper. Spray with Easy-Off Fume Free Max oven cleaner and allow to sit for 1-2 hours.
  4. Rinse with hot, soapy water.
  5. Allow caps to dry completely before replacing.

Burner Heads:

  1. Remove burner heads by lifting gently upward.
  2. Combine Bar Keeper's Friend and water to make a paste.
  3. Apply the paste to the burner head and leave for 30 minutes, resting on a clean towel.
  4. Scrub the paste into the burner head with a non-abrasive pad to remove stains.
  5. Rinse with hot, soapy water.
  6. Allow to dry completely.

Bought a second hand Fratelli Onofri Model SIST1970 Gas/Elec and cannot see the indicators around the operating buttons on the front of the Stove

You can tell by feel when they are off. Turn one on at a time to figure out the layout. You don't need numbers to see how big the gas flame is.

Has anyone had any luck finding replacement gasket? I have a Italian-made Fratelli Onofri 36"range (FREV 905S) and need to replace the oven gasket, which is broken.

I have a Fratelli Onofri 40" range with two ovens. I found a universal oven gasket on Amazon that you can cut to lenth. It has the same corner attachments and is nearly identical to the original.

Hello, Camr -

You did not state where you reside (what country.) Knowing that information will help in providing you the best source for a replacement oven door gasket.

In case you reside in the United Kingdom, you will find a replacement gasket here:

Kitchenaid gas stove left back burner won't light. hear clicking

I have one of the kitchenaide gas ranges and if the burner cap is not set on PERFECTLY straight, the gas doesn't flow properly and will not ignite. Try lifting and replacing the cap back down on the burner and see if this solves it.
