Question about Dell XPS 410 PC Desktop

1 Answer

My Dell XPS 410 wouldn't turn on. I replaced the power supply, but still nothing. I really like it and would like to repair it if possible. The small light on the motherboard lights up, but that's the only sign of life.Thanks-

Get another power supply unit and check to make sure the power button is not sticking. That is how I would handle the matter. John

Dell XPS 410 power supply fan loud and computer is running slow

Hi,

This issue happens when your computer is using or requiring a large amount of power source or the power supply is simply dying out already. You may want to update the BIOS. If the problem perists, replace power supply.

I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

I have a dell xps 410 i replaced the power supply because it wont turn on still have the same problem,i used a dell replacement.it just shut down one day now it wont do anything just one yellow light on...

Ok to troubleshoot it, connect the PSU to the MotherBoard ONLY, test, you may find that with it connected to the MB only it doesn't work, remove RAM and check, if PSU still No Go then MB is faulty if OK, add devices, DVD, Hard Drive, one at a time untill you find one that stops the PSU, that is ya faulty bit. replace it.
