Question about Acer Aspire One PC Notebook

1 Answer

I have an Acer Aspire 5735Z. The cooling fan works intermittently. I am not sure if I need a new fan, or the problem could be more serious. Thanks for any help. divakathryn60@gmail.com

Sometimes the fan races if you like, sounds loud, then when its cooled the comp down, it stops or goes slowly, until comp gets hot again. hope this helps, make sure you always rest the computer on a hard solid surface never a soft 1 like beds or cushions ect.

TOO HIGH TEMPERATURES AT MY LAPTOP ACER ASPIRE 5735Z

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

My acer 5735z is over heating and turning off. the gurantee has run out on it, and i use my laptop everyday for college work, so i need it to be sorted soon. i have a cooling stand but sometimes that...

Hi,
1. It is because the cpU fan within your laptop is not exhausting the heat properly for some reason.
2. Open up the laptop case and check if the fan is working properly or not. If not working, replace it immediately with a new one or it may burn out your processor itself.

3. Clean the dust accumulated on to the casing and heat sink which is under cpu fan as this may block air circulation.
4. If everything is done, your laptop should work fine. If you are not comfortable with doing youself, then seek help from any of the computer service center.

I hope this is useful to you
Thanks

Hi,
use the driver cd which came along with your laptop and reinstall the audio driver from it. After that reinstall the real player as well if needed.

Blank screen. Won't turn on.

You could have an overheating problem. The CPU shutsdown when it overheats and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. Check the CPU fan and heatsink assembly. The fan may have stopped spinning or spins slowly and the heatsink is clogged with dust.
Remove the dust and replace the fan if it is faulty.

I would first check the path/directory that video is recorded to, uncheck the playback after recording box and if this does not work you need to update the drivers.
