Question about Creative Labs I-Trigue L3800 Computer Speakers
I have Creative I-Trigue L3800 2.1 Speaker System, Super Great Sound when
it worked. No problems at all until one day their was no sound. I go
back and forth using either the Speakers or my headset...which I would
plug my headset into the wired remote. I have power...the wired remote
"volume control" works with lights, but no sound. I only have sound
when I have my headset or another speaker plugged into the Audio
phono-plug (female) connector. If I disconnect the male jack from the
Audio phono jack/connector...still no sound from speakers. I think the
female Audio Phone Jack/connector went bad...won't Switch/Release back
to External speakers.
I am a tech with the correct tools. I attempted to fix the phono jack/connector Switch... I "did not" remove the whole switch, just the top part with the brass/plastic slider and then re-assembled it back together...still no sound from speakers. I tried it with both the top part of the switch on and off, including manually jumped the contacts...still no sound from speakers, only headset.
NOTE TO ALL OTHERS: This fix is very delicate for those who attempt this; must of jewels tools, magnifying glass w/light to try this.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hi, had same problem.... unscrew the remote and carefully remove the back end part of the stereo-connector (very careful !) it consists of a very small switch which moves sideways..... this switch is stuck into headphone-modus. Reassemble and it will work again
Note that speakers will work if you remove the switch

Testimonial: "Super info you've given...Thanks. Was going to replace it, but your suggestion is even better. Do you have to remove the switch to remove the casing?"
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
if you dont have a disk with the drivers you will have to download them
hope it helps
