If not used as network printer you can use Initialize All Data to remove all settings.Initialize=ERASE>>> WARNING>>> this will remove all settings for header, number, user boxes, network settings. Unless you print all of these other settings for fax - network(Additional Funtions Report) and remember how to re-input DO NOT USE THIS.

You can have a fax tied to a one-touch button and that will prevent you from deleting from the fax screen.
1st>Send tab>reg.tab>Register One-Touch Button>Highlight Name>Erase tab will activate touch Erase>Yes to confirm
2nd>Send tab>Address Book>Register>RegisterAddress>Highlight Name>Erase>Yes to confirm

How do i change a speed dial number on my brother mfc-7340?

Changes to the contents stored in the address book do not become effective in the stored speed dial numbers in Windows®. Description:If you have made a change to the contents stored in the address book, the speed-dial is NOT automatically updated.

If you change the address book entry, please follow the steps below to store the speed dial number again.
  1. Click on the setup button to open the Brother PC-FAX Setup dialog box.

    Notes:
You can also access the Brother PC-FAX Setup dialog box by clicking start => Programs => Brother => MFC-XXXX or MFC-XXXX LAN (where XXXX is your model name) => PC-FAX Sending => PC-FAX Setup.

  2. Click the Speed Dial tab.

  3. Select the Speed Dial No. which includes the member or group you made a change in the address book, and then click Clear.

If you put the patch below, the message that prompts you to confirm the destination number or address will appear when you send a fax using the speed dial. Also the message that indicates changes in the address book do not become effective in the stored speed dial numbers will appear when storing a speed dial.
  1. Make a temporary folder on your HDD [hard disk drive] as the location to save the downloaded self-extracting file, e.g. C:\brodnt
  2. Please click here to download the patch. (7.07MB)
  3. The Brother End-User License Agreement will appear. If you agree to the terms, click I ACCEPT.
  4. Download the file to the temporary folder created in Step 1.
  5. Once downloading is complete, open the folder and double click PCFAXUPD.EXE.
  6. The installation will start. Please follow the on-screen installation directions.

How do I clear all e-mail destinations, when I go to fax I pressed clear al and it doesn't work?? I also do not know how to send a fax, I have the phone line connected but it comes back tx failure???

FIrstly, sending a fax : Make sure you have the telephone cable plugged into the correct socket in the back of the copier. There should be one for "LINE" and another for "PHONE" - make sure you are plugged into LINE. On the display panel go into fax mode (press the fax button) and then press the "monitor" key....you should hear a dial tone...this means your fax line is working. You should be able to just dial the number you want and press the start button..... unless you need to dial a 9 to access an outside line - dial that first. make sure the number you are dialing is valid.
To clear/delete email addresses : I assume you have email addresses setup in the address book and want to delete them?
Press "user functions" on the control panel and press "address" then press "address book" button. highlight the address you want to delete and press delete - then confirm deletion....and its gone!

Will not stop faxing the same document

There should be a memory clear procedure in the menu to stop that.
You will have to reenter the time date, your phone and business name once you clear the memory.
I dont have a book for that particular machine, but faxs do have a memory clear feature for lock ups like that.
