Question about Kitchen Ranges

Kitchenaid Oven works great but won't turn off

The oven continues to work perfectly except for one thing.
The oven will not turn off until we throw the breaker.
The oven will work perfectly again but not shut off, etc., etc.
Bad CRC? How difficult to replace?

Thanks,

Jeff

Lower oven will not turn off. When you turn off at the breaker the service techs cannot replicate the issue, and therefore report "No Problem". My oven has been on for nearly 24 hours now waiting for the new service company to arrive so they can see the issue live. Everyone expects to see an error code, but none is shown. yet the oven is clearly on maintaining a temp of approx 300 degrees.

    same problem, any solutions

Same as above. We turn the oven off and it stays on. We have to keep starting and stoppiing over 30 minutes or so and eventually the off button works. Temp stays at 350. Any solutions?

SAme here too. Oven wont shut down, nor does the timer button work. Everything tourns on OK, opperates as it should, but wont shut off. We turn the temp as low as it will go, when it cools down, it will shut off then.

It appears the 'membrane insert' is defective. I was able to turn my oven off by using the 'stop time'. Just imput one minute ahead of current time, then press start. In one minute the oven will turn off. You can clear the screen by opening the oven door fully, then close.

Door Locked on and can't remove after water spill

At this point it is very likely the control panel will need to be replaced. If you had disconnected the power and let it dry completely before trying to use it it may have been ok except for the cosmetic issues. You might still try unplugging it for a half hour or shut down the circuit breaker for that amount of time. I am thinking it won't help but it is worth a try. I don't know what to tell you about the cobweb looking damage.

Kitchenaid KDRP463LSS - No electricity to oven

Pull the range, remove the back cover and locate the thermal switch and the oven TOD. Check both parts for continuity. Replace any of them if it's open.

The thermal switch

Replace oven UI -KitchenAid KGRS807SSS Gas Kitchen Range Problem

Unplug the stove for at least two minutes or throw the breaker for the same time. So far, has worked 100% of the time for me for all error codes. Apparently something gets out of whack and turning off or unplugging must reset the system.

Oven throws a E0 F3 error code

Most likely the temperature probe. My fan continued to run until I disconnected my temperature probe. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the probe in place and pull on it until the plastic connector male/female comes through the hole in the back of the oven. Disconnect the connector being careful not to let the female fitting slip back into the hole. Once I disconnected the temperature probe the fan stopped running. I believe a new temp probe/sensor will correct the F3 E0 error and correct my Bake function. The oven wouldn't preheat or turn on. The Broil and Clean functions worked but not the Bake function.

Kitchenaid Superba Gas Range - Oven temperature problem

The problem is: the temp seems to be 'stuck' at 260 and will not allow any higher settings.

Calling KitchenAid proved to be unuseful. The manual did not have this item in the troubleshooting pages. Resetting the power does not help.

The SOLUTION:
There is really no problem besides that the temp display setting has been somehow set to be celsius (metric system) rather than farhenheit (english system). Changing this setting somehow can be easily touched off without knowing, thus the "I didn't do anything and yesterday it was working fine..." comment from family members.

The FIX:
Reset the temp display back to farhenheit (F). This is done by opening the oven door, then hold down the 'Broil' button until you hear a beep from the control panel. The same method may be used to change from Farhenheit back to Celsius.

Prevention:
I speculate the inavertent change of the temp setting is done while cleaning the flat control panel. So the best thing to do is to always 'LOCK' the control panel when cleaning the controls. This is done by holding down the keypad "3/lock" for a few seconds until the display shows LOCK.

(The solution was already posted when I arrived at this page. I just organized it a bit by adding some details and a preventative comment. Many thanks to those who posted earlier, solving my issue as well. I hope my writing presents a clearer and quicker read to the next person)
