If the computer wont boot to any of those option there's a big chance that the master boot record of your computer is already corrupted and needs to be repair in order for it to work again. The only way you can do that is to use a XP disc to repair the system or you can also do a system recovery if you have a recovery disc for it.

If that's the case you really need now a XP disc to repair the operating system of this computer that will be the only way to correct it.

Yes you can use a external cd drive that is connected via USB and you can also use any XP disc.

OK that will be fine and hopefully they can provide other things that you can try in correcting the problem.

Acer inspire one d260 cannot start system recovery

You should start windows in safe mode. By pressing the F8 key right when Windows starts, usually right after you hear your computer beep when you reboot it, you will be brought to a menu where you can choose to boot into safe mode. If it does not work on the first try, reboot and try again as you have to be quick when you press it. when it starts in safe mode, run system restore and when prompted for a restore date, choose an older restore date, probably one you a sure was perfect 2 days before the blue screen issue. This should get your system running in good shape.

When I turn on my asus netbook 1001 It says windows XP then tries to boot but goes to WE apologize for the inconvenience etc etc choose safe mode last known configuration or start windows normally

Try Safe mode.
Then once you're in, run your virus checker.
I like WebRoot.
Delete your browser cache, clean up the disk.
And email to yourself any files that you really want to keep so that you won't lose them in case the computer really goes down...

Problem with starting up me dellE153FP

Try turning on your computer and keep pressing F8 and it should bring you to a menu. Choose "safe mode" and see if you can get into safe mode. If you can get into safe mode and then go into system restore and choose a date back to when you computer was last working properly for you. If you can't get into safe mode and goes back to a black screen then your OS is corrupt and you'll need to wipe out the hard drive and restore you computer back to factory defaults.

Toshiba satellite laptop comes on and stays at windows xp page

If Safe Mode doesnt work then you may have to do a "repair" of your O/S. Place your Windows XP CD into the CD-Rom drive, reboot and once you see the options if you want to Install or Repair - choose Repair. This option will make repair to your O/S and for safe mode.
Once repair is complete do a complete Anti-Virus and Spyware scan of your Hard Drive. If you can boot into Safe Mode to run the ani-virus much better.
