Did you look in your device manager? If there are any ! then it's probably just a driver. If it isn't showing up at all It's either broken and you will have to get a PCI Sound Card.... or for some reason you BIOS reset and disabled by default but I seriously doubt that.

It seems that your sound card driver is not installed and furthermore does your pc has inbuilt speakers or not. At the rear of the cpu you should connect your speakers green wire inside cpu's green socket. For the sake of driver you can install it from the link provided below and install it on your pc. Just click the link provided below and then click on Download link1 Happy listening.

Why isn't there sound windows media player on the

Either the speakers are bad, the sound is muted, the sound driver is corrupt or the codec for sound is missing. Try plugging in headphones and see if you hear sound.

Step three says connect to computer. I plug the green speaker prong into the green port on my sound card. I get windows sounds, but no sounds from CD or videos online. Any ideas?

Many applications (like web page videos, media players) have their own volume controls, separate from the main windows control. Since you can hear other sounds, I would guess that the volume is lowered/muted on these applications. To check this, look for a slider bar or speaker icon on the web page, or the media player. Adjust slider up, and also check for a a mute button (often a red circle over the volume control). Adjust and re-test, and you should be good to go.

go to control panel-sound-default audio device & check which device is enabled as default device. In case of HD audio remove the speaker jack & reinsert, if that port is selected as default audio then you should get an immediate message saying 'audio jack plugged in'.

My VLC media player was uninstalled by mistake... then i installed windows media player 12 and VLC media player throught internet n now m not able to hear any sound from my speakers..... plz...

Open both the player and see the volume control of each. In any of the software the volume may be very low or muted. Check sound card volume levels also. VLC manipulates sound card's volume control directly.

I cannot hear any sound when playing media music player

Check whether your speakers are on mute. Check your sound card - have you got one? Is it broken? Check volume of speakers. Maybe uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player.

I've got crative inspire t7900 not workin

You can hear music and sound when you test your audio and also the Windows startup and shutdown even sounds. But you can't hear any music when you play it in Windows Media Player or the videos on youtube because Windows Media Player needs some codecs installed and you don't have those installed.

You can download and install this Media Player codec pack from Microsoft.

Hope that helps,

Raspal

There is no sound on the windows player

Do you mean there is no sound only in media player? You hear sounds in other applications? If so then you have probably muted your player. There is a small speaker icon in the player at bottom of the screen. Just click on it once and you will hear sound again.
