DVD freak out

I put a brand new dvd in (Avatar, but not blue ray just the regular one) and my laptop won't recognize it but keeps making noises every few minutes like its skipping. I have been trying to eject it by pressing the eject button on the keyboard but it doesn't work.
Thanks!!!!

My daughter put the blue ray DVD into the Toshiba 14DLV75 instead of the regular DVD and now it won't eject it. It just keeps spinning like it wants to eject, but won't. How can I get it out?

Hello
Just switch OFF the set by its front panel power control switch, and then switch it On and press the eject button without any delay. Sometimes the tray will eject, and try to close. If so switch OFF the front panel power switch, while it is out, and take away the blu-ray disc. the switch it On. All will be ok then.

I have a new laptop that has a blue ray. when i try to play the blue ray dvd it wont play but it will the regular dvds.

The dvd is probably defective, it requires more precision to play the blue ray disc, I would suggest you take the Laptop back where you bought it from for exchange or refund. New Laptops have a standard 1 year warranty in most cases.

My panasonic dmpbd10a blueray player wont play blueray Avatar movie

With people downloading movies illegally, companies have put blocks on DVD's, unfortunately making the DVD unplayable for some blue-ray players

Will not play new Avatar Blue Ray. It is showing BD-ROM BDMV. Nothing happens

There has been a change in the parameters of Blu Ray and your set will require a firmware upgrade to address this problem Contact the local distributor for details of when this firmaware will be available. It comnes on DVD or can be downloaded and burned to DVD You put it in and run it and its all automatic.

My blue ray player will play regular movies but not Blue Ray DVDs. The player is brand new. This is second player. Same problem. I have two HDMI cables tried both. Also TV new Samsung.

Go to Samsung.com and download the latest firmware for your model player.

They have versions fot both burning to a cd/dvd or using a usb stick. The usb stick is the easier way to install it.

The firmware may need to be loaded twice for it to take effect.

Good Luck!

Dvd player, hd dvd movies

If this is just a regular DVD player, then no. You need an HD DVD player to play HD DVD discs. Now the HD DVD players should play regular DVD discs.
