Your problem is a defective screen and will require a physical presence of a tech to fix your issue.You will have to send it back to apple.Anyways here are few steps that you could try if it doesn't help then you will have to get it repaired:
1)Try turning the auto brightness to OFF.Check if your screen is now back to viewable level.Proceed to stpe 2 if this doesn't work.
2)Make sure the batter is fully charged.If it is then proceed to step 3.
3)Put a little pressure on the back and bottom right corner and the device would usually correct itself for a while.But this is not a permanent solution.
If the above steps fail then your last option is to get it repaired or replaced by apple if it is under warranty.
