T.V.won't turn on. No problems prior to it quitting

Try unplugging the power cord for a few minutes. If that doesn't help, then it's probably something in the power supply inside the unit. Could be anything electronic, but I would at least check the fuses (with the unit unplugged).

The problem is in the power supply board usually caused by one or more bad capacitors, and in some cases they bulge at the top indicating they are open.

Depends on circumstances: if your display glows, but there is no characters(menu, ##), your t-con board is at fault. The one, what adapts display to main(signal) board. It always attached to panel itself, covered by metal shield. Tough to get to it, but less expensive. If display won't glow, but flashes once and then quits: inverter(s?) at fault. In some TVs there are 2 inverters: master and slave. Usually, just one is bad, but better to replace them both, unless you can diagnose which is bad. Bad one might have blown fuse and/or burned IC chip on board.

Hi, this is quite a common problem for plasma screens and LCD screens. The fluroscent backlight is more than likely faulty and would need replacing. The best thing to do is to take it to a service centre because there are no user servicable parts inside the plasma.
