Mad Catz controllers are horrible. They break so quickly. I bought a Mad Catz controller because they were cheaper. That was a mistake. At first the A button stuck, then the right trigger all within 2 weeks of purchase. After 3 weeks, it was unusable. I bought another Mad Catz, dismissing the first as a fluke. This controller did not even last a week. I bought 4 XBOX controllers, same games, more people playing, and these XBOX controllers still work great. I took apart the Mad Catz,. I found that the A button unsticks, if you pull apart the casing. The plastic holders for the triggers look poorly made. My brother and I used Safety pins to reattach the triggers. I was so looking forward to Mad Catz Wireless controller, but with this example of their work, I don't think i am going to even waste my time.
i totally understand what you all are sayin but . . .
even though i personally have had three madcatz pro controllers break on me, they feel just so much better than the enormous xbox controller. Plus, i just refuse to learn the tweaked button configuration of the xbox controller. Madcatz feels perfect and with a lifetime warrantee . . . they're gonna get it right sooner or later so i'm keeping them around cause i'm gonna be there when they do. all in all, besides reliability, which i agree is extremely important, the xbox controller can stick it

I had the exact same problem. The trigger broke on 2 of my MadCatz controller. They have a lifetime warranty so I'm gonna call the company and have them replace it, but I won't buy any more of their controllers.

I had the same problem with the dreamcast controllers, especially playing crazy taxi and doing the crazy dash about 100 times a minute, killed the trigger on about 6 or 7 controllers and kept returning for new ones, then finally bought the dreamcast controllers, and never had a problem.
SO, i figured no more mad catz and just bought all regular xbox controllers, although i am contemplating returning a couple to get the new wireless controllers coming in a few months, although its made by madcatz, so who knows.
