Question about Coleman Powermate Premium Plus 6250W Portable Generator
My family and i have ran off generators for 2 years and we have a 6250 Coleman and it will run fine for about 2 hours and then it will shut down how can i fix it with out going to a repair shop
Some generators honda springs to mind have a thermal cutout usually connected to the on / off switch wiring for the ignition they usually come in the form of a little bolt on part. trace the wiring and see what you can find.
beware though your machine could be overheating and the cut out working correctly.
make sure that the cooling fan on the engine is ok there are no blockages / restrictions and is your machine in a suitable place to get plenty of cool air ?
