In almost every case of a power up failure it is a missing voltage or low voltage, so checking this is where to start, then as a back up, look at the power board capacitors which are the reason for low or no voltages. Replacing a capacitor is easy, so look for bulge on top of all the capacitors and usually it will be obvious. Why spend big money for a pc board when a $5.00 capacitor will fix problem.

You most likely have a power supply fault, I looked for a service manual for your make model, but couldn't find any.

SOURCE: Model W2607C. Does not power up.

Check all of the fuses inside. If none are blown, unplug and hold power button for 20 seconds thus resetting all of the capacitors. Plug in and hold power button for 20 seconds thus powering the capacitors up safely. should work

Check and replace its main power regulator board. It might be faulty. Normally there is no repair to these boards. Card base replacement should be done.

You need to troubleshooting it to narrow down to which board is bad, it can be the power supply board or the backlight inverter baords.

I recently received a Dell W2607C LCD TV from a friend...when I turn the unit on, I get a blue light that appears to be a stand by light. However, there is no picture at all. Please advise.

first check with a different cable , if it still doesnt come on , then you have to open it up and look for a burnt or cold solder where the transformer is ,also look around for any other solder. hope this helps AJ
