Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

Some of the buttons on my keyboard don't do what they're supposed to. For example: -When I press 'SHIFT' the songs playing on itunes or windows media player stop -When i press 'DELETE' a '\' comes up -When i press the up arrow a ' comes up -The double ' doesn't even work Is there anything I could do to fix this problem? I'm not sure if it is a problem with the software of the keyboard itself. I have a Microsoft keyboard. Thank you

Cannot burn audio cd with iTunes

Maybe iTunes don't want your burning their music. I'm not sure cuz I don't use Itunes, but if it works on others that sounds like it might be the problem.

Here I found the below on Apple's site.

Symptoms Find out what to do if you can't burn an audio CD using iTunes for Windows. Sometimes an audio disc may not burn as expected. Here are some things to check.
Resolution Update iTunes Download and install the latest version of iTunes for Windows.
Songs not authorized iTunes will stop burning a disc if one or more of the songs in a playlist were purchased from the iTunes Store but are not authorized to play on this computer. This message appears:
"Some of the files can not be burned to an audio CD. Do you still want to burn the remainder of this playlist? For more information on why some files can not be burned, click below".

There's more so click the link below and see why you can't burn your cd.

How to transfer windows media player muisc to iTunes

You may have some music on Windows Media Player, and you want to add them into iTunes library for your new iPod or iPhone. Or you may want to move your iTunes bought music to Windows Media Player for portable devices such as Zen, Zune, Phone, Sansa, Archos, MP3/MP4 Player, etc. It’s easy to do that. And this guide will show the steps to do the job.

Part1. Transfer Windows Media Player music to iTunes

Step1. Open iTunes and select the File -- Add Folder to Library menu.

Step2. Browse to your Windows Media Player music folder. iTunes will ask you where your songs are located, which by default will be in your My Music folder on Windows XP, or in your Music folder on Vista.

Step3. Convert Windows Media Player songs to AAC format (.m4a). If you have files in WMA format, you will be prompted to convert those WMA files to AAC. This is a necessary step if you want those tracks available to play on your iPod or iPhone. If you have a large music library in WMA format, converting WMA to AAC may take a long time. Plan to do this at a time when you can leave your computer on and walk away to do something else for awhile. You can also import your WMA files as MP3 instead, which also allows them to work with your iPod, but makes them more portable if you buy something else in the future.

iTunes doesn't modify your original music files from Windows Media Player. It leaves those songs in their original location and makes copies in your iTunes music folder.

Part2. Transfer iTunes music to Windows Media Player

Because iTunes music has DRM protection, you can't easily import the music into Windows Media Player by drag and drop. There are two ways to transfer protected music from iTunes to Windows Media Player.

Method1. You can use iTunes to burn the music to a blank CD at first, then use Windows Media Player to rip the music CD, the DRM protection will be remove during the ripping process, then you can rip the CD into WMP library. This way is good for tranferring a few music. For large mount of music, it would take a really long time to transfer music.

Method2. If you don't have blank CD disk or you have many iTunes music need to transferred to windows media player. You can use DRM Media Converter. It can legally convert the protected iTunes music to non-protected MP3 music, then you can easily drag and drop the MP3 music into Windows Media Player.

Step1. Download and install the DRM Media Converter , the file size is about 7 MB. I have scaned it with Norton Virus protector and AVG spayware protector, it's safe without any warning.

Step2. Run the DRM Media Converter, Click Add to import iTunes music, which by default will be in My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music .Or you can run iTunes, click Edit -- Advanced Tab, there you will see where your iTunes media folder location.

Step3. Set the output audio format as "MP3 - MPEG Layer-3 Audio (*.mp3)"

Step4. Click Start to run the conversion, it will take a little bit time to finish the job, then click Browse to located your converted mp3 files, drag them into Windows Media Player, done.

How to convert drm wmv files to ipod/iTunes

This is a full guide about how to convert DRM WMV files to ipod. Hope it can give you some help when you come across similar problems.

Part 1: What is protected WMV, WMA file?

WMV stands for "Windows Media Video", which is developed by Microsoft. WMV files are usually ASF files with a WMV extension. It can store video content in a compressed format. The WMA format, short for "Windows Media Audio", was also developed by Microsoft. It is a good format that offers the same quality as MP3 at half the bit rate using an audio data compression technology.

Though originally used for windows operating system, the WMV and WMA format have become very common in music download services. However, in this area, they always include DRM protection, that prevents illegally duplication. Unfortunately, Songs bought from different companies will have different DRM protection that can restrict you from playing songs on incompatible players. Also, DRM restrict the usage of computers, so you just can't share you DRM-laden music with your friends. There comes the headache!

Part 2: How to remove DRM from WMV, WMA?

So, you could try some methods or programs that remove DRM from WMV or WMA files. This article presents you a easy way: using WMV DRM removal software, such as Wondershare Media Converter to convert your protected WMV files to DRM-free ones. This software is especially useful for alleviating compatibility issues.

1.Download Wondershare Media Converter, install and run it. Then, add DRM WMV or WMA files to it. You can either click 'ADD' button to insert the files you want to convert,or easily drag & drop the files into 'Getting started' table. This software supports batch conversion, so you can add several files at a time.

2.Choose the format you'd like to get. Click the setting button, There are a list of output formats ready for your choose. And if you don't know the formats, there is also guide info to show you the match hardware with the formats. now we wants to put the wmv files onto ipod.we could choose output format as MPEG4(MP4)

You also can change the output file location, or the output files will be located as default.

3.Last thing, click the start button, and the converting process is beginning. After converting, the files are DRM-ripped. You can view your converted files by press the "Find Target" button, or you can choose to turn off computer after conversion.

Part 3: How to Play the converted video to iPod

1.Now that all the files in your coputer are DRM-ripped and with MPEG4 format. iTunes is more than happy to admit them into it’s library. Importing videos can be done by selecting “File>Import…”, or by simply dragging the files from a Finder window into an iTunes playlist once all your videos have been imported,.

2 and then you can connect your iPod to computer via USB cable, iTunes will detect your iPod. After that, click iTunes "File -> Sync iPod", and the files will be transferred to your ipod from iTunes library. When updating completed, you will find the videos on you iPod. Now, we can enjoy our clean music on iPod.
