I have a nokia 6300 phone with an old sim card in. I want to use a new sim card from another provider in the phone but it is asking for a restriction code, how do i dind this?

Restriction is nothing but the unlocking for your mobile,
Unlocking means in your phone just removes the SIM card restriction on your phone so that you can use any other network's SIM card.
To get the restriction code for your Nokia 6300 model mobile, just visit this site www.classicunlocking.com/nokia-6300/rs17wp9 , in this site just give your IMEI number , country & network lock after that within a short period you can get the restriction code for your nokia mobile............I hope this may helpful to you.........

My nokia 6300 is locked needs restriction code

Sounds like your provider has denied you access.
Could be a damaged sim card.
Either that or you've gotten it wet, dropped it too hard,or set up a password to keep anyone from using it. If it's none of the last ones then I would call your cell provider (AT&T,Telus,whoever...) and ask them about it. If you have a good provider they will walk you through a bunch of steps you could take.

Restriction code for nokia 6300 locked in fido

Hi,
The security code, if you did not change it is mentioned in the user manual book. For Nokia cell phone, it is usually 12345.
This is the code the phone asked you to enter when you change your SIM card.
The code only asked once for every SIM card, unless you reset your phone. To disable this code, enter menu settings, Security, Security Level, change it to memory or none. To change this you need the security code.
