My philips projection tv cuts off by itself seconds after you cut it on i would like to know what the part looks like also

There are many reasons for a TV to shut off by itself there are circuits integrated into your television to protect from more expensive repairs by simply turning the unit off if it senses an internal problem, the only way to diagnose this is to use test equipment to trace the fault to it`s source, when this is done you can request to see the part that is defect from your repair center

Sony sxrd --cuts off after a few seconds then cut itself back on.


Symptom shows lamp is weak and requires replacement.
Please buy Sony original lamp for TV safety and good picture result.

I HAVE A PHILLIPS MODEL 50P8341 REAR PROJECTION TV THAT COMES ON ,THE RED POWER LIGHT BLINKS FOR A SECOND AND THEN CUTS ITSELF OFF


Try the power supply. Look on the one in your TV for the part number ; mine is PH3501705441. I ordered one from partstore.com and it was less than $60 shipped. Hope this helps, mine works fine now........and I have a 50P8342 chassis PTV 916

TV powers on, then cuts off by itself. After many on-off tries, tv goes to menu and through it, then cuts off.
