Question about Compaq ProLiant ML530 Server
You need to go into the bios setup and enable the ide controller and disable the scsi controller. Then, you need to re-boot before the bios can see the ide hard drive. Next, you configure the bios to boot from the cd/dvd drive first and the ide hard drive second.

There are many configuration settings, although i personally would hunt down an SCSI hard disk, many will fit from many other models just like IDE ones
