There are two plastic sections, that when the door is closed, activate two switches telling the machine the door is closed. these plastic pieces do break off. the mechanism behind the cover where the switches are may need to be adjusted. the actual sensors may be at fault or there is a small pcb that has faulty components on it. my suggestion would be that a technician pay you a visit. sorry, good luck

My Panasonic FP 7850 is showing the e3-11 error code. I cannto get it off from that, what do i do?

E3-11 means a problem with a High Voltages Power Supply Leak..... this most commonly is caused by a dirty corona unit,..probably covered with spilling toner from within the machine.
Open the front door, realease to the left the Green handle in the middle at the bottom...this will lower the Transfer corona unit. You can then pull it out... you will see inside 3 wires, this unit is supposed to be "clean" ...if there is toner on it try cleaning it off with a soft brush or compressed air...DO NOT BREAK THE WIRES.....if you break them you will most definately need a serviceman to replace them because it will not work if you break them!!
Once you have cleaned the corona unit put it back into the holder that you removed it from...reverse your actions and close the machine back up...hopefully that will get rid of the error code.

ERROR CODE E3 -50 (PANASONIC FP 7742)

E3-50 is the malfunction of the transfer wire cleaner. The transfer wire assembly is under the drum. The transfer wire is on the right. The cleaner moves back and forth. If you feel comfortable taking it out, respond. There are fine metallic wires in each slot, so don't break them

U 1 error message

U1 is a right cover open error. So either that cover is not closed all the way, the tab on the door itself is not hitting the sensor that detects if it is closed, the sensor itself isn't working properly and lastly it could be board malfunctions. Most times on this model it is either a broken tab on the door or it is not shutting correctly. The front door has to be completely shut before the right door will shut. If you are looking at the right dooor straight on the sensor is at the bottom left corner of the machine. There is a little **** in the plastic that is where the sensor is. There is a piece of plastic on a spring that is on a guide that slides back when "triggered" some times that can come off the guide.
Hope this helps.

check drum and drum sensor. if the Drum cleaning blade (DCB) has failed and is smearing toner around the drum then the drum sensor can't see the drum. clean it with a brush. the sensor sits in the drum/ cleaning station.

Error code on panasonic copier fp-1670

Welcome to Fixya.
Hopefully we can answer some if not all of your questions.

An E3-01 is an error code for your toner hopper. Did you just recently change your toner bottle?
If so, open your front door, take the toner bottle out. Close the front door, turn the machine on, and let the machine cycle and stop.
After the machine is stopped, then open the door and then place the toner cartridge back in.
Close the door, and if the error code doesn't come back your problem should be fixed.

Let me know if you have any other problems.
Good luck
Please post a rating if I have helped you with your question/problem.
