Hi,

Is the view finder totally dead or do the backlights activate?

D80 Monitor does not function as view finder.

To be able to do what you want, your camera would have to have a feature called "live view"....yours does not.

Praktica dc32 camera

This camera does not have an LCD like many digital, and I don't think it is worth fixing even though it is digital, My advice is to go and buy a new camera since the price of digital cameras1.gif are down quite a bit and you can find a decent one for under $200 for sure and it would be a good investment plus you can use the memory1.gif card from this camera and use it in the new camera.

The cost of buying a new viewfinder and getting it fixed is not worth it which will end up costing the value of the camera probably

Since the model is also discontinued buying a new camera wouldn't be a bad idea at all, good luck on whatever you decide to do and please don't forget to rate this solution

Images thru view finder are blurry

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Nikon coolpix 5700

at the back of the camera next to the view finder (bottom right hand corner) is a button and icon marked SEL. pressing this button toggles the lens image from the view finder to the lcd screen and back again. IF neither view is available then I suspect your camera needs some TLC at a repair shop. hope this helps.

ORITE MODEL dV3020 BLANK VIEW FINDER

You have images on the Card- Yes? The flash works -Yes? Now you cannot take pic's is that what you mean. One of many thing- are you getting error messages? Are you sure you are getting images to the card? There may be images on the card but the screen has gone down- If you hold the camera at a slight angle can you see dim images[if yes screen back light down] If No images a connector or CCD problem. Make sure you have fresh batteries Gently squeeze the casing near the bottom of the screen- it may be a loose connector. Depending on how long you have had this -get onto the Seller or Manufacturer's web site tech support- there may be a replacement available. There will almost certainly be no repair option on this type of camera

Blurred image

The viewfinder image should look sharp & clear, as long as the camera is turned ON. If the camera is OFF, the viewfinder image will blur. At least this is how it works on my C2000z. If your viewfinder is always blurry, I would return the camera for exchange.
