  • Teach Learning Commands
  • Receivers: 222k and 722k
    1. Ensure the DISH Network remote control is programmed to the desired remote address to operate the DISH Receiver.
    2. Place both the DISH Network remote and the original equipment's remote control on a flat, stable surface.
    3. On the DISH Network remote, press and hold the mode button for your equipment for about three seconds until all of the mode buttons light up, and then release it. Your selected mode button will blink.
    4. Select the type of learning you wish to perform:
      • Hybrid Mode
        1. Press and release RECALL, then hold the RECORD button for about three seconds until the mode button is lit again. The button remains lit while learning.
        2. Point the front of the original equipment's remote to face the small square (IR window) on the front left-hand side of DISH's remote. Remotes must be within 4 inches of each other.
        3. On the DISH Network remote, press the button you want to teach.
        4. On the original equipment's remote control, press and hold the button you want learned. If the DISH Network remote learns the command, the mode light blinks off and then back on. You may need to press the button on the original remote several times for the DISH Network remote to learn the command.
        5. After a button has learned a command successfully, repeat steps 3 and 4 until all commands you want have been learned.
        6. To end the learning sequence:
          • Press one of the mode buttons on the DISH Network remote. This saves all of the commands for that mode and exits learning to return to normal remote control operation.
      • Normal Mode
        1. Press and hold the RECORD button for about three seconds until the mode button is lit. The button remains lit while learning.

    Deactivating tv remote control codes

I am not certain these are the instructions for your specific remote. If you are brave, give this a try.

To Clear all Learned Commands under a mode
Clearing learned commands is helpful if, for example, you
replace your CD player with another brand or model. If
you had learned a feature from your old CD player’s
original remote on to this remote (such as RANDOM
PLAY), that feature would no longer work for your new
CD player. Should you wish to remove or clear one or
more “learned” commands, follow the steps below:
    1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red
indicator turns on. Release the SETUP button.
    2. Press and release the button for the mode you want
to clear (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks off.
    3. Press and release the LEARN button TWICE. The
    red indicator blinks off.
    4. Press and release the SETUP button. The red
indicator turns off. All learned Commands under that
    mode are now cleared.
Master Clear - To Clear all Learned
    Commands under all modes
    1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red
indicator turns on. Release the SETUP button.
    2. Press and release the LEARN button TWICE. The
    red indicator blinks off.
    3. Press and release the SETUP button. The red
indicator turns off. All Learned commands in the
    remote are now cleared.

Don't have manual...don't know how to use some buttons

My guess on surf is it might scan channels for you. PIP is short for picture in picture and may require a second device with a seperate tuner. SWAP works with PIP button and switches (or swaps) between the pictures. FREEZE probably "freezes" picture until you push button again.

I want to know how to use some features on my Zenith MBR3447 remote

My guess is SURF might let you scan through the channels like a scan button on a car radio. PIP stands for picture in picture and may require a second device(vcr etc.) with a seperate tuner to use. SWAP allows you to swap pictures when useing PIP. Freeze probably will allow you to freeze the current picture on the screen.
