Question about Gateway Solo Fan Assembly
i want to to desamble the colling fan mounted in SMPS of my CPU. but i am not getting any idea to open (desamble) it. the PCB mounted inside the fan is loose & it vibrates & make a big noice as soon as fan starts. So please help me, because if once i open it then i can repair it myself.
Remove the label from the center of the fan.
Look inside the hole. Some have a rubber bung in the hole.
The fan is usually retained in the housing by a nylon washer with a split in it.
Get something like a really thin blade/needle and you can ease it off the fan spindle without breaking it. It sits in a groove on the fan spindle.
