Did you replace your Bose Cinemate remote with a Bose replacement remote, or would you like to program a universal remote to control your Bose system?

I can help you program your remote, but I need you to post the make and model number of your remote to provide the remote codes and programming instructions.

I hope that helps.

Im not sure what kinda remote it is ...but usually if it is a remote one ..you can program each device by the code...If it has more than one device button .choose the one for speakers..if it has a sign on it ..and press the on/off red button ..
if you only use it for this system ...the red button will be enough ...
if it doesnt seam to work at all..probably you have to program it by the code for the Bose speakers system ...first ..to recognize the frequency ..and use it after ..
this is the way you can set it ... remember that for your system it should work auto..so all you have to do is turn the system on ...point to it ..and follow the instruction I place here ..but if it do not have a code ...leave it without ..and just try tu turn it off with the remote ..cause it may get the code auto ...

    Set up with Predefined Codes
  1. Step 1 Install the batteries into the Bose remote. Slide off the cover on the lower back and insert batteries as shown by the terminal markings.
  2. Step 2 Turn on your component and 3 2 1 system.
  3. Step 3 Hold down the button for the component you're synchronizing with on the remote (TV, CD-DVD, CBL-Sat, FM/AM, Aux) until the LED light on the top of the remote turns on.
  4. Step 4 Enter the code for your component. See in the link in Resources for the 3 2 1 manual from Bose. Codes are listed at the end of the manual, beginning on page A-1. When the correct code is entered, the LED light will turn off. Otherwise, the LED light will continue to blink. Try a different manufacturer's code.
  5. Step 5 Turn the component off with the Bose remote, then back on. Use the channel up/down button to switch channels or skip through options. If both functions work, the remote is ready for the component. If not, try additional codes.
  6. look for teh codes on the remote manual..or on the paper that came with it ..

I forgot to mention ...your actual question was about the device button to use...and the answer is that there isnt really any difference between the chanels ..there are just named for to be easy to remember where you programed what device ...so ..no matter which u use ..the issue is to remember it ..and use to switch on the device ..before you use it ....if you are planing to use the remote just for the speakers...the is mater it fades in importance ...just use a chanel that will work ...and remember which one you are on...in case it is changed ...
so ..take them one by one ...there are 90 % chances they will all work ...select the device button you want to program it in..and point to the device while working ..and wait to th led to blink this meaning it found the freq.

My Bose remote turns on and off withthe comcast remote but the volume does not work unless I hitthe AUX button first. Does not work with the all button pushed.

Since multiple devices have volume controls you must inform the remote which device's volume you are changing. Just like the Power button. You wouldn't want everything in the room reacting to a generic command.

My Bose remote control RC28TI-27 (for a Bose Lifestyle 48 system) has a heavy rattle in the top portion inside of it. I want to disassemble it and see if it is an easy fix. How do I get it to split apart...

Did you find a solution? I unscrewed the screw under the battery compartment lid near the rear end of the remote. The rattle is a broken radio frequency antenna. A replacement for this ancient remote is $89 plus shipping and handling. Supposedly the Bose systems can also be programmed with some universal remotes without rf antennae.

How do you have dish network remote control work

We would be happy to help with that. Here is a list of someof the codes that we have for your Bose Cinemate Digital Home Theater System: 656, 761, 639, and 664.

Press and hold the AUX mode button until all mode buttons at the top of theremote come on, then release. Enter the number 2 then one of the codes for your Bose system provided above. Press the pound (#) button, the mode light should flashthree times. Check that the code works by trying several different functions onthe remote to make sure it will properly operate your Bose audio system. Keep in mindthat some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, please try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.

We hope this helps you, and thank you for being a valued DISH Network Customer!

Bose 3-2-1 Remote Control stopped working

I purchased a LAZBOY universal remote (at Fred Meyers, on sale for $9.99) and after a bunch of research and trial-&-error, was able
program it with a code (1629) which works reasonably well with the
Bose 3-2-1.

I don't have all the system-level functions (which I never utilized anyway) but do have all the basics as far as power, volume, source, and CD/DVD control.

What button on Bose remote will erase material on cable box DVR?

Try 'Enter' if you haven't already. A yes/no question on a cable box is usually a toggle, so select yes and press Enter. If that doesn't work, try a different code from the system menu. (Press 'System' and go to 'remote control.')

Can't remember how to enter the codes

Hold down the "setup" button on your cinemate remote. All 5 buttons should flash. Select your device (TV CBL/SAT DVD VCR AUX)

This will stay lit. Enter your code and wait for your devices button to blink. AT that point hit the selected devices On/Off button. If your selected device turns off and back on, then Bobs your uncle.

Cannot find a device code for ATT Uverse DVR cable box

1. Release the volume controls and assign them to the AUX: A. Press and hold AT&T Button and OK Button at the same time, release both buttons. All the mode keys will flash twice indicating you're in programming mode.
B. Enter 955 on the remote keypad, the AT&T key will flash twice indicating a correct entry
C. Press the mode key you want to alway receive the volume commands - I assigned mine to the AUX mode button. The mode key chosen will flash three times indicating success. Volume commands will now be delivered to the AUX button regardless of the mode you are in. 2. Assign the AUX to the BOSE system: A. Make sure the Boze remote receiver is powered on (green light is on). B. Press and hold the AUX Button and OK Button at the same time, release both Buttons. All the mode keys will flash twice indicating you're in programming mode. C. Enter the 4 digit BOSE code on the keypad, I used BOSE Remote Code 4000.
D. The AUX Button will flash three times indicating correct entry.
