Just had the exact same success with a solder joint that was bad on a relay terminal on the PCB on a Bosch WFL2400au washing machine. Symptom was no motor spin on either wash or spin cycle and could always hear relay click when it tries to go through the process. I checked brushes but hey were fine. That saved a replacement part as in this thread. It is now 9 years old and going strong
I have a amssung J1043 front loader it was filling and emptying the water fine but it would only spin one way for 20 sec when it went to spin the other way it wold make a click noise and stop, spin dry or spin in wash both the same result.
i found it was the relay clicking on the back of the main control bord un did it all and checked it out no burn barks bord look ok i did notice that the realy 2 conection was verry lose so i un pluged them all every clip and re-cliped back in it works fine now has not missed a beat i hope this can help you, if you do undo it just put it bake the way it came um donr so mark up your realys or just rember were they go i dont know wht would happen if you pluged them back to front and i dont want to know, if the cricut bord has any burn marks or black marks sotp play and get some one out fire is bad.

On this washer the problem is the washer drum rear bearing is worn out, a common problem and often caused by not using the correct detergent for a front loader, detergent is very corrosive, so special types are used in front loads to prevent soap residue corroding the drum bearing. Once the bearing go out then the struts that cushion the drum during the spin quickly follow.
Did your clutch pulley use the upper One-Way Bearing ring? What are the first two digits of your Serial Number of the machine? What is the history of the Clutch install? Did the unbalance issue continue right away with the new Clutch Install? How much rust did you find on the Clutch Pulley and the Upper One-Way Roller clutches bearing ring if used?Any Pic’s of the old Clutch Pulley? If you shut off the water source valves to the machine and release the top the washer so you can lift the washer top and observe the wash basket rotating CCW at 50 RPM during the water fill part of the wash cycle. Start a quick wash cycle and lift the washer top to observe the wash basket rotation CCW. The wash Basket will rotate CCW at 50 RPM. You can go into Service Mode and observe on the LED console FAV6800A machine. Not sure about the FAV9800A LCD flavor of the machine. Do the tumblers rotate slightly during the water fill part of the cycle? The machine may error out with NF for No Fill don’t worry about that I just want to determine if the tumblers are rotating during the CCW/Spin direction of the wash basket. You may have to put some dry laundry in the wash basket to help with the observation.
Let?s see if I understand. Are you in a wash/agitate cycle when this happens? If so is the wash basket rotating Clock Wise with the tumblers rotating (washer top raised for observation)? With A Spin Only cycle selected and some clothes in the wash basket. Raise the washer top from the base and observe the wash basket rotation. The wash basket will rotate CCW the spin direction. Do the tumblers rotate while the wash basket is rotating CCW? If so the load will go off balance. What series is your machine it will be the first two digits of your Serial Number i.e. 10 through 17. Was the original clutch replaced because of severe rust of the One-Way Roller clutches/bearing in the clutch Pulley assembly? Do you have the original clutch pulley assembly? Did your machine use the upper the One-Way Roller clutches/bearing ring? Your series number will help me but if you can confirm. I?ll try to help?.Rich
Hello skull1829 , Was the Clutch/One-way roller bearing changed out for dc/UC errors in your FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW? If you start a Spin Only Cycle with an empty wash basket will the wash basket spin up CCW and complete the cycle?Lift the washer top from the base a few inches to observe the wash basket CCW rotation in spin cycle. If the clutch spring is broken or end pins of spring aren't seated the tumblers will rotate and the wash basket will rotate slowly CCW. IF the wash basket won't spin up can you pull the front cover off and insure the motor will rotate the clutch pulley CCW in a Spin Only Cycle?Let’s try these few basic tests and get some feedback for troubleshooting. Rich
Hello srcoray, Did you replace the clutch, just trying to get a feel for your hands on experience with the machine? If you did the work did your machine use the upper roller clutch bearing along with the clutch pulley mounted roller clutch bearing? The FAV6800AW uses a reversing motor and motor controller that powers the motor and clutch pulley to rotate CW in Wash/Agitate cycle and CCW in Spin Cycle. In Wash/Agitate cycle the roller clutch bearing should rotate freely CW allowing the agitator shaft to drive the transmission in wash cycle driving the tumblers to rotate only not the wash basket. In spin cycle the roller clutch bearing will lock up (one-way roller clutch bearing) driving the spinner shaft to rotate the wash basket and transmission CCW.Unless my thinking is wrong it sounds like the one way roller clutch bearing is frozen or dragging and not rotating freely in wash cycle rotating the wash basket CW.I’m an owner like you and will try to help.
Just a few other questions; If you have a load of wet clothes in the wash basket and you select Spin Only cycle will the spin cycle complete with out dc/UC errors? With the lid raised can you rotate the wash basket CW?It should not; it should only rotate CCW and do that with very little resistance.
