Hello the first step is to identify your sound card.
The best way is to first look at the back of the computer and check to see if you have a sound card or if one is integrated into your motherboard.
An integrated sound card will have its connections within an inch or so of where you plug your keyboard or mouse.into the main board
A sound card will take up an expansion slot down towards the bottom of the case usually where your modem or network card are.
The next step is to go to your computers manufacturers website and find out what type of sound card shipped with your model. Many times they will even provide the drivers for download.
If drivers or info are not available from the computer manufacturer then submit a help ticket to them asking for the model of the motherboard or of the sound card that way you can go to that manufacturers website and download drivers there.
If you have the original software that came with the computer you may have the drivers on the disc you used to reload windows. Look for a directory labels drvers or cabs.
As a last resort Google the model number of your computer hopefully somewhere out there is a reference to what is included with your model.
Also try posting your brand and model maybe someone here has the info available.
u should install your sound drivers without drivers no sound can be heared. it will be avaliable on your motherboard manufacturer cd if the sound is builtin.or if its separate sound card than u should have to download and install its drivers from its manufacturer website.if you dont have the cd of it.thanks
You have to go into your system setting and re enable it. If you do not see your sound card in your system/device manager/ then you will have to reload your drivers. You can get these drivers off the internet from your laptop manufacture website.
To find your manufactures web site. Use your favorite search engine. Enter Advent Laptop support. Look for you manufacture web site. Then click on support and find your particular model. Download the drivers you need.
