Generic problem for all Camcorders

JVC GR-366EK Zoom snapshots instead

posted by nightnicon on Mar 24, 2008

Hi I have a problem with my 14 month old camcorder when I use the zoom slider on the top it starts taking snapshots instead, the snap shot button works as it should but I'm now unable to zoom in or out.
Resetting the camera works for a few minutes then the problem returns.
I've had a look for firmware updates but theres nothing listed on the JVC website.

I have the same problem

LOL! thats kinda cool

but, maybe the wires got switched internally or a circuit change, open it up if you want and look
if not send it to jvc and tell them, or call em up
maybe radioshack will do it too
