Question about Linksys Wireless-N WRT150N Router
My Linksys wrt300n wireless N router seems very slow. though the available speed says 270 i am only getting 11 Mbps, my signal says it is low, but the distance isn't very far (30') although it is one floor down. Any ideas to up the speed?
You have WRT300N router. If it is very old model then upgrade the firmware of the router. and try changing the wireless channel on the router.
Firmware is the software of the router.
Download the latest firmware of the router. Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the firmware of the router.
Open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware of the router, reset the router.
On the router you will find a small reset button, hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. Now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router according to the Internet service provider.
