If the picture disappears from the screen and the
1 (power) indicator is green
1
Turn off the 1 (power) switch and disconnect the
video signal cables from the monitor.
2
Turn the monitor on by pressing the 1 (power)
switch.
If all four color bars appear (white, red, green, blue), the monitor
is working properly. Reconnect the video signal cables and check
the condition of your computer(s).
If the color bars do not appear, there is a potential monitor failure.
Inform your authorized Sony dealer of the monitor's condition.
Be sure to note the model name and serial number of your
monitor. Also note the make and model of your computer and
graphics board.

THe problem is in the set top box. Or common called the tuner box. IT looses the 5 volts to the main display and thus the monitor will go into a shut down state. THESE boxes are factory repair only and must be sent off to repair.

Sound is ok picture with green screen

The exact problem you are describing here is unclear. Are you getting a clear picture just in green or are you getting just a green screen with no picture at all? If the first, then you are sending a composite signal into the component connectors. A composite signal (typically the yellow connector) is the entire picture over 1 wire. Component requires 3 (RGB being the most common). Verify that you are using the correct input for the signal type and update this with any additional details about the status of the set.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi sir. when i watch any video songs or movies

your videoes have a small pixel say 320x240 so when you blow it up to say 1440x900 the player has to ADD pixels that dont exist. so you get an unclear picture.

Even if i switch on my computer with moniter it doesnt show anything on moniter screen it remains black

Hello. With the computer and monitor OFF, disconnect the signal cable from the video card on your system. Next, turn on the monitor. There should be a bright green box with a pink outline of a video connector inside showing. If there isn't, and the monitor is definitely powered up, then there is an internal problem. If there IS a little green box, etc., the video card in your system is suspect.
  • 1) When turning on the monitor, do you hear the sound of the high voltage initiating?(i.e. you should hear some type of electronic noise like a vibration or crackling of static on the picture tube)
  • 2) If you do hear that high voltage kicking in, it may very well mean that the picture tube is dead and getting a replacement monitor is in your future.
  • 3) If you don't hear the high voltage, quite possibly the transformer that produces it(called a flyback transformer) is defective.
Due to the vast array of inexpensive monitors available, you probably should consider getting a new unit--the cost of a new display will rival the cost of the repair--and you get a fresh warranty to boot. If the picture tube is gone, there's no choice.---Rick

Remove front bottom panel behind it is a small black control box top controls are focus controls for R/G/B and Bottom 3 controls are your screen drives adjust one at a time turn off G/B adjust red first, then Do Green and Blue fter adjusting focu to each tube leave them set then adjust screen drive turn color off adjust RGB for a Black and white picture get as close as you can then turn color back If after doing this you still have blurry looking picture look down into Tubes you should be able to see picture clearly in each one if you cannot see picture then projection Fluid need to be changed out. you need to get a better grade cable from the wall outlet to the plugs for the computer and monitor it most likely can not take the load high energy use will cause degrading on the wire and can cause a fire hazard, at your local hardware store they can sell you a better quality extension with a power surge protection unit built in that would be best.
