Electric heaters dont need to be light because they dont use gas, the power is off to the heater or the thermastat is bad or the heating element is bad. call the manufacture and get free customer service and support over the phone.

My Rheemglass Fury is not putting out much hot water

I believe that there are 2 separate electric heating coils in this unit (unless you are talking about the GAS unit). One of the coils either has a wire broken or the element needs to be replaced!

How to start water heater

For tank-type gas water heater, lighting instructions are usually shown on label on front of unit.

Look at label on side of unit for Brand, model and type.
If you have tank or tankless.
If this is new installation or old installation that stopped working.
About how old unit is.
If this is gas or electric.
Then add a comment for possible help.

Describe check for Electric element malfunction

To check to see if your element is good yopu will need an electric meter that reads resistance.
Turn off the power to the HWH and then open the covers that are over the elements.
Remove the power wires to the element and then check the resistance across the terminals on the element.
If you get resistance the element is good if you get nothing or zero (0) then it is bad. Usually you will get nothing, but if it shorts and blows the breaker you will get zero.

This will tell you not only if there is a bad element, but which one is bad.

Have a Rheem 81V30D fine..How to set 2 thermostats??

Adjust each thermostat (one under the lower front cover, one under the upper front cover) at the same indication (thermostats may not have degree marks but warm, hot, very hot or A, B, C). Turning the screw clockwise is hotter. For safety sake, turn off the circuit breaker for the water heater at the house electric panel before removing thermostat covers.
