Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer

1 Answer

Won't turn on

Changed the tensioner pully and hooked all the wires be where they were according to the schematic and now it will not turn on. Getting power. could the thermal fuse have blown just by unplugging the wires? That is the only thing I can think of.

After changed a new water pump, timing belt, idler pully, tensioner for 2004 lexus ls 430, when start engine has a noise look like from pully

COULD BE A BAD BEARING IN THE IDLER PULLY OR THE TENSIONER ON THE TIMING BELT OR THE SERPENTINE BELT. IF ITS A SQUEEL IT MAY BE SOME COOLANT GOT ON THE SERPENTINE BELT. TRY TO WASH THE BELT WITH WATER AND LET DRY COMPLETELY. IF NOISE REMAINS RETURN TO THE SHOP THAT DID THE WORK.

Want to fit fan belt cant find the proper way

You have to find the tension pully. using a 3/8 socket wrench. not the socke but the actual wrench. place the square end of the wrench into the notch on the pully and either push or pull (depends on the v-belt system) and it should move. place your v-belt around the pully's according to the diagram under your hood leaving your tension pully to be the last one the belt goes on. Move that tension pully as mentioned above and place it the belt on the pully. The diagram under the hood should also show you where that tension pully is located.

How do i put a tension pully on a 92 honda accord it is missing

The 92 Accord has no tensioner, not should it have. Drive belt tension is provided by moving the belt driven accessories. On some components (alternator, for example) there is a pivot bolt and an adjusting bolt, both of which have to be loosened, then the component is moved away from the engine to put more tension on the belt, and held in place while the adjusting bolt is tightened (then the pivot bolt is tightened). Since there is usually more than one belt, you have to look around in order to determine which components have adjusting bolts (some components actually have a longer bolt which is used, by turning it, to move the component away from the engine and tighten the belt).
I hope this helps you understand the system.

How do you tighten the belt on a 99 mitsubishi galant ls? there is only one, just changed the alternator and belt is loose, but do not see anywhere to tighten.

yes it is the serpentine belt and there is only one and you need to make sure it is on properly and that it is on the idle tensioner pully andd you have to loosen the tensioner to put the belt on and tighten it to tighten the belt look for a belt schematic on the engine compartment area of your car near the front or sodes on the upper outer area where the hood comes opver the comparment

Serpentine Belt Alignment

you shouldnt have any allignment issues, assuming that the pully is good. if it needed to be replaced, you would know it. you would hear all kinds of odd noises...but my guess is that when the tension was put back on the belt, it was overlapping one of the edges on a pully farther down. just take a close look at where the belt is routed, and make sure that it is on its track on every pully. if not, release the tension, reallign, and tighten up again.

How do you adjust tension for drive belt

first you need to figure out if you have an automatic tensioner or an adjustable one. so look at the pullies which ones are not accesories (ie not an alternator pully, power steering.) some pullies will just be on there own not driving anything. is this pully connected to something like this O>o <--this end is the pully.
pully mounting bolt ^ ^arm with hole for rachet
or does it look like the pully is attached to a threaded pole.

the auto adjuster need a rachet to pull back on it (because it's spring loaded) while you install the new belt.

the other need the nut on the pully loosened and the threaded pole loosened will move the pully removing tension from the belt (opposite will tension the new belt).

tighten belt until you can only twist it in half.
