Infinity Basslink. I wired and connected everything and sounded amazing. I removed my center console to construct a box to put the Basslink in. When I was putting the Basslink sub into the box (tight fit)...

I would get a test light and see if the remote line is still working. Otherwise, yes you probably fried it. Doesn't take much in car audio to fry an amp.

Power light

Hi Bill, I believe the power problem is related to the Remote wire which should be blue or yellow. The remote wire is suppose the turn the Basslink on and off when the radio is turned on and off. The yellow wire is normally used for power antenna. Traditionally the remote wire is blue. You can use a Speaker level adapter and splice in with the L/R rear speaker wires, and the adapter will convert the speaker level to line level. The output of the adapter will go to the Rear speaker input on the basslink., Write back if you need more detail on the adapter.

My cars battery died, and when i turned the car on finally the head unit and my infinity bass link didnt turn on

Check the fuse in your car's fuse panel. If it is burnt then change. If it is still good, check the fuse on the head unit and amp.

Red light comes on and then slowly goes out. No output

For some reason you are not getting constant power to the system. What gauge power/ground are you running? Describe your system to me and we'll see what I can do to help.

2nd Basslink, still no power-on. Please help

this is in response to the post below:

I just bot a basslink t and i wired it up and nothing it just keeps blowing the fues in the unit i got mine on ebay2.gif so i dont know if i can use the warranty dose anybody have an ida for me- britter623

I got a used basslink about a month ago and had the exact same prob kept blowing fuses...found out that the voice coil had blown on the infinity...so I had a brand new dvc polk 10 sittin in the closet, I swapped them out, put the polk in the place of the infinity sub, however, the magnet is much larger, hence, dual voice coil, it would rattle sooo much from the passive radiator against the magnet, also could not turn the gain up at all due to the rattle. I got the bright idea to build a "custom fiberglas enclosure for the polk and incorporate the infinity's parts(amp/control) I finished the box finally last night and hooked it up this morning, no power, no lights, no nothing! s@#%, F&@%! ANyone had a prob w/the amp not having the lights turn on, no power??? Hope that helps about your fuse blowing issue.

You may have blown the fuse in the AMP. Check it and let me know.

Basslink drops out.

The auto on switch should only be in the on position when the REM wire is NOT connected. Auto on can be flaky. Basslinks respond better to RCA inputs then the high level ones. You might try getting an RCA line converter, they work very well with the Basslink.

Basslink servo light constant on

So, thanks to the other posters here for getting everyone close the issue that brakes these things! I wanted to pile on, as I repaired mine. See the pics, but yes, you're going to want to get near the power resistors and transistors called out earlier - they COULD be failed, so you will need to do what I did and isolate them to test them (within goo electronic principles). For example, I have a Super Cricket transistor checker that will do the job in-circuit. Many of you will need to remove them to test them for gain with the right meter.

You can see in my pics that the resistors have cooked the caked sealant material, but the resistors themselves were intact and tested right at 3 ohms (correct). So, those weren't bad. However, one power transistor tested bad, so I removed it...to see it test well on the bench? Huh! So, I put it back in, and then notice that the solder pads to both locations were nasty in the original pics I took - they'd CRACKED at the pads! So, cold/cracked solder joints were the culprit here. I reflowed them and the amp powered back up nicely on the bench.

Again, check the pics they show where I had to do the work!

Amp keeps blowing fuse

I have this same problem. You have blown the internal amp. I have had 2 of these do the same thing. There is nothing you can do but report it to infinity and try to get the unit replaced.
