The bga 452 is a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder. I take it you have a cordless drill with clutch> You can disengage it by turning it all the way to drill, it will no longer clutch, the clutch is for driving screws, they won't strip. The lower the number the lower the torque. Hope this helps.

I was driving my 95 Corsica suddenly disengaged out of drive no slipping no noises no clicking but a small grind once in a while what could make it just disengage out of drive and now have no gears

it is possible that the problem is not in the transmission but in the torque converter clutch control servo/ solenoid that has disengaged the transmission
could be wiring, TCM, or VSS
run the fault codes or take it to an accredited auto transmission specialist that handles your make of vehicle

Replace brushes

In the middle of the housing set on both sides, there is a cap cover you have to pry off with a small screwdriver to get to the brush caps. Screw the brush caps off and remove the brushes (PN CB-430). If the brushes are stuck, pull on them until they come out. If the brush contacts/wires break off, you'll have to remove the armature and push the brushes through the brush holders. If the brush holders are damaged, replace the end bell, PN638448-2.

Makita 6228d has no torque, is the gear box repairable or only can be replaced?

The gearbox (PN 125087-2) is only sold as a unit, no individual parts are available for it. Torque on a drill is usually a function of the power in the battery and the motor's ability to use it. Unless the gearbox is binding enough to make it or the motor very hot when in use your problem may lie in a 'tired' battery or motor issues like brushes.

My Makita cordless angle grinder (new, used once) BGA452 wont go, it starts then the overload light comes on and it stops? changed battery, still happens.

Obviously too late for you, but it may help others.
I had the same problem with a new Makita 18v lithium grinder and this worked.

Remove battery, remove brushes. Using good quality cotton buds, dip in Methalated spirit and insert into hole for brush down to armature, slowly rotate head of machine. Change cotton bud and repeat process, then clean the brush heads. Re-assemble and try. Note: Meths will dry completely leaving no residue, unlike turps etc.

Can i change the brushes on my cordless grinder?

Hello u2okay, it is a little challenging but, Yes you can. I have done it myself some time ago. I no longer have the information available, but, I went to the manufacturers website and got a list of their authorized parts dealers. That was 8 or 9 months ago and she's still running strong. Well worth the effort. GREAT TOOL!
Good luck my friend!
